M-1 Challenge 44 nov 22nd Kenny Garner vs Damian Grabowski HW title fight

A title fight between heavyweight contender Damian Grabowski (18-1) and defending champion Kenny Garner (12-4) will take place November 22 in St. Petersburg at M-1 Challenge 44.

The Polish heavyweight Grabowski has long earned a reputation as one of the best fighters in Europe.
His record is 18-1, the only setback came in the fight with undefeated Bellator champion Cole Conrad, where Damian lost by decision. Grabowski always featured bright, attacking, aggressive style of fighting.
Only 4 of the 19 battles Went to a decisions, in all other fights Damian destroyed his opponents - 6 KOs and 9 submissions.

Kenny Garner needs no lengthy presentations - a charismatic and talented fighter from the U.S. with excellent technique and great endurance. His last fight though he lost to Constantin Glukhov by split decision.  

The Fight between Garner and Grabowski was supposed to take place at M-1 Challenge 42 but Damian had an old contract and one fight left in the Polish promorion MMA Attack on October 25.

Finally garner vs grabowski was the fight to make! Great job m1

Did Kudin get hurt?

Grabowski deserves this for sure. This is going to be a great fight.

Sick fight! I gotta catch this one, more excited for this than vs. Kudin myself.

Kudin had to cancel the fight against Garner because he´s competing in the Kickboxing World Championship October 9.

I haven't seen Grabowski since Bellator but I remember him looking solid. Still I favor Kenny "Deuce" to win via unanimous decision. Damn good fight. November is pretty stacked!

Maybe Kharitonov will fight the winner of this titlefight. He signed a one fight deal with M-1 so far but I´m sure M-1 wants to have him as the champ. The M-1 HW division is very interesting right now.

Grabowski should have this but you can never count out the deuce .

Damian is a beast he loose to Konrad! No shame on that but he dominated a very dangerous huckaba in bellator

Imagine titlefights between Grabowski, Garner, Ishii, Kharitonov, Malikov, Tybura, Gluhov, Smoldarev, maybe Kudin, Ka, Oleinik, Guram and Emelianenko.

Sergei vs. Grabowski would be vicious. M-1 has to have the most interesting HW division right now.

Agreed. Would be great to see Grabowski holding the M-1 title soon.

M-1 HW division is best outside UFC IMO.

Yeah, they need Aleks back.  They should pick up Tony Johnson if he's available as well.  CC would be another good signing if he beats Aleks. Also, whatever happened to Razmadze? He would fit in M-1 if he didn't fall off the Earth.

Damian, zapytany o rozmowy z największą polską organizacją KSW, przyznał, iż miały one miejsce w miniony weekend i przebiegły w pozytywnej atmosferze, jednak na tę chwilę jego priorytetem są starty w UFC w 2014 roku. Nie oznacza to, że nie zobaczymy „Polskiego Pittbulla” w organizacji Martina Lewandowskiego i Macieja Kawulskiego w przyszłości.

Little concern that Damian says he is aiming at the UFC in 2014!

If true m1 should not use him in a title fight. Instead put him vs Sergei!

Opolanin in conversation with us, said that after the cancellation of the show in Ergo Arena, is pleased that four weeks later will be able to avail of the form, the construction of which has already begun. Damian, when asked about talks with the biggest Polish organization KSW admitted that they took place last weekend and were held in a positive atmosphere, but at the moment the priority is to compete in the UFC in 2014. This does not mean that we will not see "Polish Pitbull" in the organization and Maciej Lewandowski Martin Kawulskiego in the future.

Prefer Grabowski in M-1. Want to see him tested against their lineup of HWs.

Grabowski belongs in KSW. It's just meant to be.

If UFC had non-exclusive contracts I wouldn´t have a problem with Grabowski taking a couple of fights there. I don´t think Grabowski will fight in the UFC in 2014 if he wins the M-1 title. KSW sounds badass considering he´s polish.

KSW because he's from thereand they are a great org. does make sense but I just prefer to see him against the M-1 HWs right now. Maybe KSW somewhere down the line but some real interesting fights for him in M-1 right now.
