I noticed the extreme sports channel in the UK have started showing some old M-1 events again. I would love it if they picked up some live shows though, maybe KSW too - not enough live MMA on UK tv at a decent hour!

Same here in Sweden. The American events are in the middle of the night and I would love to get some live KSW and M-1 events.total finish wrote:I noticed the extreme sports channel in the UK have started showing some old M-1 events again. We get some of the BAMMA main event fights on SyFy and some Cage Warriors on Sky. I might be forgetting some stuff but that in itself highlights how little live Euro MMA is live on UK tv.
Pretty annoying that there is no Asian MMA or other NA MMA like Bellator broadcast at all.
I won't pretend to know the cost associated with launching and running a dedicated channel, but it would be great to have a MMA channel even if it meant paying £20+ per month for it over and above the other charges with cable.

An MMA channel sounds awesome. Here we have the swedish promotion Rumble of the Kings on tv but I want to drink some beers with my friends to live KSW and M-1 shows. Europe is the future for mmatotal finish wrote:We get some of the BAMMA main event fights on SyFy and some Cage Warriors on Sky. People tend to think it only works if america has it too, but look how football (soccer) is in europe and south america, while in the US it seens that nobody cares or watches it. Pride in Japan can be used as example too. It'd be cool if people supported their leagues like europe with M-1 so maybe it can grow into a huge force in the sport.
Nice to see some channels are broadcasting it at least.
Thanks for the videos Johan, they're really cool. Maybe someday you can make a tribute to global mma showing the best from each org from different parts of the world.

Awesome video. The upcoming M-1 event in March is looking awesome, better by the day. I wish Showtime would air these events from Russia.

There used to be such a channel...
It was called TWC Fight! "the wrestling channel" and showed mma, toughman, boxing, old-school pro wrestling/minorleagues, documentaries, films etc
Got taken over by "The Fight Network" in 2008 and then shut down in December of that year

M-1 is great for the worldwide growth of mma. The nation vs nation was a cool concept.

Nah it was a moneylosing concept and i think its good Kogan did cut it.
I would like it at the selections though for prospects from all over.

Yeah it didn´t work but it was still a cool concept. I prefer the way they´re running things now.Hollywood Dang wrote:Johan Lofgren wrote:M-1 is great for the worldwide growth of mma. The nation vs nation was a cool concept.
