Michihiro Omigawa joins Wicky Akiyo in upcoming All-Japan Shootboxing Grand Prix
Fri Nov 08, 2013 9:24 pm
Shootboxing continues its venture into MMA, as two more imports are introduced as they take part in Shootboxing's upcoming one night, 8-man, All-Japan Grand Prix.
For once, I think both guys have a decent enough chance, Omigawa especially. Wicky's decent hands, with tremendous power, he's just a bit too wild. Has a chance but.I.DONT think he'll win.
Omigawa has got a perfect style.for Shootboxing. I think he can make an Imada like run with his.solid boxing and judo.

This is great. Any news on a date yet?
Hopefully both can go on a nice little tear. Always loved watching Omi fight.

Results for those that care. Hiroaki Suzuki won the tournament, to no one's surprise. I did call Omigawa making a good run though.
Also had some high level fights, including Souwer x Moxon. Poor Bovy lost to Kuniyoshi Hironaka and Hiroyuki Takaya drew with Toby Imada in an MMA bout.
