Lawler vs Macdonald announcing

I have to make a post. That was the most bias and absolutely disgusting display of announcing I've ever heard in my 20 some years of watching MMA.  Rory did absolutely nothing besides land a couple glancing elbows and Rogan preceded to give him the announcers version of a reach around with a full on BJ happy ending.  As Lawler moved forward winging punches and kicking, Rory ran backwards, and it became all about Rorys expert defense and ability to dodge.  Even when Robbie almost knocked Rory out and was pounding on him he kept talking about how much danger Rory had him in. Robbie stuffing a takedown became an "expertly timed shot" by rory. I mean seriously? Am I alone in this or was that absolutely ridiculous?  I thought a fix was in it was so bad. I've never heard anything like it, ever.

Rogan's been notorious for nuthuggery. I don't know if its Mir on Torres level but its nothing new.

If it bothers you so much then mute it or watch a spanish broadcast. I've learned to tune them out, I don't see how everyone else hasn't by now.

It was obvious who Zuffa wanted to win. HBO does the same thing.

Mute isn´t a good option because you still want to hear the fight and crowd.

Joe Rogan really is terrible. He freaks out at the slightest things and jumps the gun and is very biased.

He was calling strikes that missed all night lol  

I think the masses would take the UFC more seriously if they got rid of him and Dana.

Unfortunately I don't see that happening because Dana seems to be a nostalgic person. Which is why he probably won't get rid of that just awful nu-metal Face the Pain shit.

Zuffa shouldn't employ a druggie like Joe. It's embarrassing for the sport.

This is what I was wondering. I've heard annoying or shitty commentating from Rogan many times but this was so bad it was almost like they were pushing an agenda, possibly pre-meditated with a purpose to push mcdonald as a contender maybe? Rogan was talking up Rory from start to finish. Even when it was clear Robbie was dominating in the third he made it sound like lawler was just some lucky upstart that can land an occasional haymaker and mcdonald was still gonna win or should win?

It could also be awkward for the UFC having a new signee like lawler, a Strikeforce fighter who apparently wasn't good enough to be in the UFC, destroying another one of their top fighters. Could be reason enough to be biased against him.
