VTJ is penetrating into the Osaka market.
This is going to be the first show outside Tokyo but VTJ booked BODYMAKER Coliseum No. 2 gymnasium that holds about 4,000.
Osaka is known for the market where it’s very difficult sell tickets so this is a big move for VJT.
On top of this, VTJ announced that their sixth installment is confirmed for October 4th at Ohta Ward Gymnasium.
So, they are keeping up with promoting shows at 4,000-plus-seat venues.
For now, VTJ revealed that there will be semi-finals of flyweight tourney in Osaka, then the final in Tokyo, but that is about it.
No fight cards.
But we can expect to see big names and regulars in Osaka show such as Caol Uno and Hideo Tokoro.
In addition, since this is going to be the first Osaka show we can expect VTJ to sign couple of top guns in Osaka and western part of Japan.

Nice.
Hoping to see a nice little card like they did last summer.
VTJ is great when I am able stay up and watch it all.
It's hard to pull all nighters now like I used to during Dynamite and other historical Japanese cards.
Man, I'm starting to feel old lol

Miki/Ogikubo final would be PERFECT. Sklavos has the best chance to pull the upset out of the two semis.
Undercard looks pretty good, too. Maybe a change of scenery for Kishimoto will get him a belt around his waist.

The King of Pancrase at 145 lbs division, Takumi Nakayama (a.k.a. TAKUMI) is fighting in VTJ 5th.
Not just only Nakayama is one of those guys from early era of the MMA but also, he is one of the pioneers in terms of fighting in North America.
Nakayama made a pro MMA debut in 2000. After posting seven wins and two draws in first nine pro fights Nakayama fought for Hook n Shoot in US and defeated Henry Matamoros.
In 2004 he won KOTC (King of the Cage) lightweight title by beating Charlie Kohler and became the very first Japanese fighter win a notable MMA championship belt in North America.
Sure Nakayama started slipping in 2005. Lost four in a row including KOTC title against Mac Danzig.
However, ever since he went down to 145 lbs division in 2010, he is five wins, two draws and just only one loss. Along the way, he won King of Pancrase title and defended twice. That's pretty amazing for a 40-year old with 14 years of experience as a pro MMA fighter.
Nakayama is going to face Wataru Miki, a veteran from Shooto.
He is 33-year old with 38 pro fights under his belt. A seasoned technician with heavy experience so we can expect smart fight from these two veterans. But sometimes, Nakayama would like to engage in a brawl, and Osaka is his hometown, so he may initiate a striking battle to entertain hometown fans.
Either way we can expect a good fight from these two veterans.
