Rumored Returns of Pride FC

This would be a grand times of MMA to have the old favorite back in the mix.

PRIDE may be returning under Sakakibara on NYE. From the rumors it sounds like Bellator and Coker will be a partner. Fedor may be signed as well. Below is an interview with Nog where he talks about the potential return of PRIDE near the end of the video.

The sport needs a PRIDE return now more than ever.  The over-saturated, generic Reebok fighter, worldwide cage version of MMA the UFC has put together just ain't cutting it.

Perfect timing to bring back Pride . With how much of a joke UFC has become.

Maybe somewhere down the line Pride reborn can buy out Zuffa. How ironic would that be.

Though it'd probably only happen with Viacom holding a majority steak, if the partnership rumor is true.

if they allowed co-promotion we could see mma return in it highest format

hopefull they go with the ring and not a FUCKING CAGE

If pride fc is back the vs matches will arise again and create interest.  Have major stops for fighters to go and have the great one arise again to deliver fantastic MMA again.

It would just be another version of ONE if they went with a cage. They NEED the Ring if they want to be relevant and different.

I don't know what wrong with one championship but there building the deeper asain pool of talent. Since pride never gone that deeply only exclusively Japanese talent but others aswell. Anyway now it's the best time to bring pride fc back since scott coker can partner up and co-promote dynamite cards.

Those orgs could defintely put on great events.

Yeah, the new PRIDE needs the ring and the rules of the old PRIDE.

Id be happy if its in ring or cage as long as it uses pride rules one fc has proven it works.

KSW was close to becoming the european PRIDE but they threw it all away when they ditched the ring.

Yes but remember pride is owned by zuffa so really supporting pride right now is supporting zuffa yes I know I don't like it either but it is true if a person thinks about it .......unless sakikkabarra managed to buy pride back with some secret deal of some sort now would be awesome .

Good way to look at these developments, it's best to not set expectations too high at this point.

Its alright but pride ring is best. M-1 has huge potential but they make the wrong matchups and dont sign all the available big name fighters. The production and commentating needs improvement as well. I digged the M-1 Hw GP.

I think by return of PRIDE, it may be a PRIDE like org. with different name. If Sakikabara can buy the name back, that would be cool.

I thought the ring was a good eye on both worlds of ring and cage combine.
