Bellator signs Brazil's Phelipe Lins

Once again Bellator Fighting Championships turns to foreign talent to fill its ranks, and undefeated prospect Phelipe Lins (5-0 MMA, 0-0 BFC) is the latest recipient of a contract.

MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) today confirmed that verbal agreements are in place with the fighter, and a contract should be finalized shortly.

Lins could potentially appear in season-six non-tournament fight.

Lins, a light heavyweight member of Brazil's famed Nova Uniao Kimura team, recently returned to active competition following a near-five-year layoff from the sport. To this point, Lins has fought exclusively in his native country, including his most recent appearance, a first-round knockout of Daniel Alexandre.

Lins also boasts a pair of wins over Antonio Mendes, who would eventually move on to fight twice in the UFC.

That's awesome. Great to see them building up there LHW divisions. There are a number of solid LHW prospects in Brazil from AFC and other orgs.
