UFC 230: Cormier vs. Lewis - November 3 (OFFICIAL DISCUSSION)

I was 2 for 2 on my picks. The Cormier fight was an easy pick, but Jacare-Weidman was close on paper, and in the fight. It was a hell of a fight.

Not that I can brag very much, since I only picked two fights.

Isn't it interesting how they still bring up Fedor and dump the fighters they previously bestowed the heavyweight goat status to? They were saying Stipe was the best less than a year ago and now he's forgotten. Cain was considered the goat five years ago and now they're like "Cain who?". Unbelievable. With fans like these.

Good picks.  I missed on the Jacare fight which was an absolute war to the end.  I got the Israel pick right.  DC fight was an easy call.  Jacare/Weidman is a good pick with Jacare.  He pulled off the upset in Weidman's home town.  

Strikeforce fighters can fight (DC and Jacare back-to-back).

I don't know who would win but Anderson is one to talk. At least when GSP moved up, he fought champion Michael Bisping. Whenever Silva moved up, it was against guys like Irvin and Bonner. Silva was talented in his time but GSP had the better resume and Silva was the manufactured goat because UFC failed to get the guy most considered the best in the world so they made their own.

Hard to say who would have won. I think maybe GSP.

Yeah that is a tough one if i have to pick i would pick gsp Anderson has the striking and can submit you but gsp has the more well rounded game.

I agree. I think he would win due to his game that is so well rounded. He's so good in so many areas it is hard for anyone to take him out. Near impossible so far, aside from his avenged losses.

Anderson always had problems with wrestlers so I think GPS would take that one.

True. I could see GSP taking the fight to the ground for a while and dominating there.

^^^Maybe somebody else can get Anderson at this point (Bellator, Rizin, etc) and they can use that to entice GSP.

Yeah, I don't even listen to their BS much anymore. There are some shills and trolls in the Sherdog threads but I usually just try to ignore them as much as possible. I use to argue with them but they are what they are. Zuffa Zombies.

Is there a reason to worry? We survived it before and UFC isn't as powerful as it once was.

I think Rizin is doing just fine. They packed the Saitama for Floyd. They can pack it again. I hope they do really good ratings too. Bellator has DAZN as a backup to Paramount so I hope they stick around. They are a great alternative league to the UFC.

People do have very short memories yes if max defends his belt numerous times then yes but hell even he said I'm not there yet. . Probably the same people that said Jose was given the belt . ... No He beat Frankie Edgar to become the interim champion it was obvious Mcgregor wasn't going to go back to feather weight couldn't put the division on hold , the other time was when he was the wec champion . I wonder if some of them are the same people who say fedors fights were fixed because Pride fixed fights for him for some fucking reason.
