Going with Curran by TKO

All i have to say is, i think this fight will be damn good.

I am going for Pitbull by decision. The only way I see him losing is by decision and I think he has a better work rate than Curran and that should be enough to see him win a UD.

Should be a fun fight though and the winner should be classed as the number 2 featherweight in the world.

Bellator 73 lineup finalized with title fight, two tournament finals

The lineup for this month's Bellator 73 event is set with 11 fights.

Officials recently announced the full card, which includes a previously announced featherweight title fight between champion Pat Curran (17-4 MMA, 7-1 BFC) and Patricio "Pitbull" Freire (17-1 MMA, 5-1 BFC), as well as two tournament finals.

Bellator 73 takes place Aug. 24 at Harrah's Tunica Hotel and Casino in Mississippi.

The night's main card airs on MTV2 (and in high-definition on EPIX) following prelims on Spike.com.

In addition to the title, the event's main card features a Season 6 bantamweight tournament final between Marcos Galvao (12-5-1 MMA, 3-2 BFC) and Luis Nogueira (14-2 MMA, 4-1 BFC), as well as a "Summer Series" light-heavyweight tournament final of Attila Vegh (27-4-2 MMA, 3-0 BFC) vs. Travis Wiuff (68-14 MMA, 4-0 BFC).

Rounding out the main card is a heavyweight bout between fast-rising heavyweight prospect Ryan Martinez (7-1 MMA, 0-0 BFC) and Mike Wessel (11-4 MMA, 0-0 UFC), a onetime UFC fighter who's won three of his past four fights, all via knockout.

Preliminary-card bouts include lightweights Chris Coggins (6-2 MMA, 0-0 BFC) vs. Zach Underwood (9-4 MMA, 0-0 BFC), lightweights Cosmo Alexander (2-1 MMA, 0-0 BFC) vs. Harry Johnson (5-7 MMA, 0-0 BFC), Marcus "Lelo" Aurelio (6-1 MMA, 0-0 BFC) vs. Amaechi Oselukwue (3-6 MMA, 1-0 BFC) at a catchweight, and heavyweights Chris Miller (1-2 MMA, 0-0 BFC) vs. Maurice Jackson (2-1 MMA, 0-0 BFC).

Additionally, the prelims include welterweights Joe Williams (6-0 MMA, 0-0 BFC) vs. Andy Uhrich (7-3 MMA, 0-0 BFC), light heavyweights Jacob Noe (7-1 MMA, 0-0 BFC) vs. Brian Albin (8-8 MMA, 0-1 BFC), and bantamweights Jay Black (0-1 MMA, 0-1 BFC) vs. Brian Hall (3-1 MMA, 0-0 BFC)

Should be a fun card! Bellator is signing new talent as always for the upcoming tournaments, gotta respect that they try to build up these green guys into stars.

For the main event I picked Curran by decision. He's probably in camp right now training to use his length and reach to out box Pitbull by getting in and out until takedowns present themselves. Curran better be tight on overall defense and footwork cause Pitbull is probably the more explosive fighter and physically built a little more tank like. I think Curran needs to survive the early rounds and then pick up the pace for rounds 3-5.

Me too. Pitbull is great but Curran has been impressive lately, he seems to be well rounded and the KOs against Sandro and Warren were brutal.
