Zuffa did screw a lot of people in the purchases but these were failing businesses, as viable businesses have no need to sell. ALL of those people were going to be unemployed anyway when the business finally collapsed. Ergo, they did help a lot of fighters from other orgs become N. American sensations, leading to them making more money.

The way they make media bend to their every request is bullshit and i wish other orgs got more promotion as well. Cutting media outlets who report negatively on them is complete horseshit and a real issue.

So what do I think of Zuffa? I think the same of them as HP, who made this computer and LG who made my phone. Their horrendous treatment of workers is appalling, yet I still reap the benefits of the product. Now what that says about me as a person or us as a culture is a different discussion, lol.

With Affiction Zuffa basically banned any and all Affliction clothing, the clothing was pretty much a different company than the promotion. Just like the Casino is a totally different business to UFC. Zuffa caused the collapse of Affliction, the sold out because Zuffa promised them but didnt deliver. Zuffa also ensured that Fedor would be stuffed around in the process (Zuffa wanted to force Fedor's hands and make him join UFC one way or the other).

With Pride, the fighters, sponsors, owners and even the fans were lied to. If Zuffa didnt promise one thing then Im sure other buyers would have stepped up and taken over the reigns. Instead, Zuffa just wanted the videos and dismantled Pride. They did this to rid themselves of competition.

With Strikeforce they did exactly the same thing. Strikeforce had a good thing going. Zuffa counter programmed them, lied about Strikeforce's co-partners (M1), disrespected the quality of fighters, and made M1 (and in extension Strikeforce) as evil and labeled them as the shady Russians. Zuffa promised business as usual but didnt deliver once again. If they told the truth on their intentions then who knows, maybe the previous owners wouldnt have sold out.

So stop making excuses for Zuffa and their evil shady ways.

^Yeah there were other buyers for PRIDE and Strikeforce but Zuffa outbid them and promised business as usual. They planned to kill these promotions asap to get rid of competition.

^That's exactly right. The only reason why they stuck around with SF for a bit was to keep the competition off of Showtime.

Zuffa was bull from the beginning. As someone already stated it's funny seg couldn't get a ac to sanction the sport Zuffa takesover boom to of the biggest AC'S sanction being NV and NJ. And as you could guess from all I have said yes I want them gone when the Fertitta bros and dana white are gone this sports will be better.

unfortunate because dana himself said in I think 04 we were all 1 missed phone call away from zuffa selling the UFC to PRIDE. Think if you will a world were Zuffa left this sport early and PRIDE were the flag barriers for the sport.

I do not support organized crime. Their dirty money killed some great orgs. Never forget. Though it does not blind me from seeing they occasionally have good fights, I will never support them with my wallet.

There comes a time when you just simply have to let things go. Pride was merely an organization. Was it the best of its time? Yes. But it's gone now. What's left (for the most part) is the UFC. And regardless of anyone's personal opinion (you all are entitled to your own), the UFC is the best mixed martial arts organization in the world.

Also, being a fan of this sport should be more about supporting the fighters, not the organizations.

I am with the other Zuffa haters on this one. Their actions are if not criminal then borderline criminal. We all know that they are owned by criminals so I will not give them money. I only ever gave them money once and that was the ten dollars in China for the Anderson-Sonnen 2 pay-per-view. Now I only ever pay to the other orgs.
Now I will acknowledge this, they do have some of the best fighters in the world. I will watch them for that reason. But this is due to their attempts at monopoly and America and Brazil being a large part of the progenitors of MMA than anything about the UFC itself.
Let me put it this way. I watch the UFC as a way to see some of my favorite fighters. But if the UFC suddenly went bankrupt and all of their fighters became free agents, I would be very happy.

UFC isn´t best, they only signed many of the best. UFC as an mma organization is shit imo.

I love the UFC but Zuffa is a detriment to MMA. Dana White as the face of the company is a black eye to the sport given he's a loudmouth, disrespectful bully who treats every fighter including his own like shit and goes on childish smear campaigns against fighters and other promotions. People talk about MMA not being sanctioned in New York well I'll bet New York politicians who oppose MMA play Dana White's worst moments like the Loretta Hunt rant to their colleagues on at least one occasion over the years and then ask them if they want that guy in their state.

The company's tactics are disgusting. I understand business but the last thing we need is for Zuffa to run every company into the ground like they normally do. It's horrible for the sport as it gives fighters less places to fight in or at least fight and make a living and fans less options. If Zuffa keeps doing what they're doing then they'll kill the sport cause fewer people will go into it cause there's nowhere else to go and make a living. UFC can only have so many positions and not everyone will be picked up. At the same time, no one is going to want to work a 9-5 job and train for 2 hours a day to fight at local shows as they hope and pray Zuffa will notice them. The UFC's fights and shows will also get worse because everyone will fight safe and not go for finishes because they don't want to risk their jobs since Zuffa cuts people at random. Even one loss could send someone out of the promotion.

It's also infuriating to hear people who pretend to be MMA fans say they want companies to go under just so UFC will pick up 5 or so of their main fighters.
