I hope Anderson gets smashed by weidman ....this is the first real fight Silva will have had in a long time.

Ufc fed him perfect style fights to pad his record sonnen almost threw a wrench in the machine but weidman will dismantle it.

Its funny usually other top ranked fighters go with the champ to win but really only Tim boetch has spoken out in favor of Silva.

He usually goes fir Silva I think gsp sees Silva's wrestling holes and during chael Silva 1 chael boxed effectively with unorthodox strikes weidman has ko power and the speed and crazy angle punches to catch Silva slipping.

Silva still has a good chance to catch weidman coming in I just hope he doesn't.

If weidman can get a takedown early in the first gnp to tire him a bit.

Second round more strike heavy but intermittent takedowns and feints to get him reacting and possibly finish him in the late second or third round.

But in my minds eye I see a decision war .....guess we will see

So far from what I ve seen in articles here and there, Edgar and GSP said they got Weidman winning.
Sonnen said some political bs
Drysdale and Gracie said that Weidman could pull it off but if they had to bet money they d go with Anderson winning this
Leben and Boetch went with Anderson
And Hendo who always picks the wrestler to win went also with Anderson

Middleweight title challenger Chris Weidman would fight Jon Jones – if the UFC asked him.

"I mean, I've got to beat Anderson (Silva) first," the undefeated Weidman (9-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC) said during a media teleconference in support of his headliner against Silva (33-4 MMA, 16-0 UFC) at next week's UFC 162 event. "That's the first big step. Whatever the UFC fans and UFC want to do and the fight they want to see, I'm definitely willing to do."

To be clear, nobody is yet asking Weidman to step up in weight to fight the light heavyweight champ Jones, which is what Silva is expected to do if he's victorious on July 6 at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena. (Jones, too, has to make it past Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 165 in September.)

Weidman's chances aren't as bad as some who've faced the middleweight kingpin, as betting lines indicate. But a win over Silva certainly would be one of the most significant upsets in MMA history.

Silva's main advantage other than his elite muay thai , is his supreme confidence in the cage. Fedor had that too , he only lost to Werdum because he disrespected his skill. Silva tasted defeat before in his career and he knows he has weaknesses. He won't make a mistake against Weidman. If he wins , it's only up to Weidamn.

Definitely. Having a true winner's mentality can trump a lot of one's limitations.

Silva will embarrass weidman. It's not going to be close or much of a fight, imo.

I'm not sure if Weidman has enough experience but I'm sure he'll make a fight out of it.

7 ways in which Weidman can beat Anderson:

1. Ed Soares turns heel on Anderson by using a taser when he’s up against the cage, thus costing him the title.
2. Matt Serra is the Special Guest Referee.
3. DMX’s “Aint No Sunshine” somehow doesn’t play on the audio machine; Anderson refuses to come out and thus Weidman wins by default.
4. When Weidman takes him down, the referee suddenly calls for the stoppage. Amidst utter confusion, Dana suddenly shouts the following: “CALL THE FUCKING FIGHT OFF”. Thus, the “Vegas Screwjob” is born and Anderson is screwed. Months later, Dana proclaims that “Anderson screwed Anderson”.
5. The match is changed to a 3-on-1-handicap match. Ryo Chonan and Daiju Takase are brought in as Weidman’s tag team partners.
6. During the first moments of the fight, during an intense feeling out process, Weidman pokes Anderson in the chest. Anderson suddenly falls to the floor, and the referee declares it a KO victory.

As much as I'd like to see someone push Anderson's shit in,I just don't see it here.I like Weidman but only 9 fights,one year of inactivity,and coming off tough injury,to me adds up to a Silva slaughter.I would hope after this it will lead to a possible Super fight with Bones(Fuck GDSP) rather then a predictable round of shit circus fights with Vitor (take a flyer on seeing that again)or Munoz/Boetsch winner zzzzzz...
