If Okami shows up as complacent as Fitch and Torres there he will be deaded by Krasimir for sure. I hope he doesn't, but I think that is what will happen. He is not a top middleweight anymore and has been looking terrible these past few fights of his.

steve carl mentions that he will run thru jon fitch next and that he wants to be part of the wsof japan!!!

alot of fighters want to fight in japan, they know that japan along with brasil were the mecca of the sport and imo will help wsof to grow

I feel Steve Carl's submission game would be greatly appreciated in Japan. Hope to see him make it over there!

The World Series of Fighting continues to grow and expand it’s reach into new territories with the announcement of a strategic partnership with Pancrase that will launch a Japanese division of the growing WSOF organization.

For those of you unfamiliar with Pancrase, it is a highly respected Tokyo-based group that has been promoting the sport of mixed martial arts in Asia for over 20 years (since 1993). Pancrase CEO Masakazu Sakai (pictured above) was on location in Miami, Florida to watch the WSOF 6: Carl vs. Burkman event and meet with WSOF executives and staff. The partnership was announced at the event just prior to the main card, but President Ray Sefo gave Fight Parrot the scoop shortly after weigh-ins the day before.

In an official press release, Ray Sefo discussed his excitement to be partnering with Pancrase and expanding into Asia.

“Japan has long been a home of top-level martial arts competitions of all types, and I personally have enjoyed some of the best moments of my fighting career there. I’m excited to announce this new division with the launch of World Series of Fighting Japan.

I look forward to working with Pancrase CEO Masakazu Sakai and his team, and together we will produce amazing events for the Japanese fight fans, as well as big opportunities for both Asia-based fighters and MMA fighters around the globe.”

The very first Japanese World Series of Fighting event is expected to take place in early 2014, with a date and location still to be determined. Expect to see new Asian talent on the card, and possibly the WSOF debut of recently signed Yushin “Thunder” Okami.

The announcement of WSOF Japan marks the second international division announced in this month alone, with WSOF Canada set for their debut event (WSOF 7) Saturday, December 7th at the PNE Agrodome in Vancouver, British Columbia.
What does international expansion mean for an organization in it’s infancy such as World Series of Fighting?

Opportunity. By targeting new markets the Vegas-based World Series of Fighting can accelerate their growth outside of the UFC-dominated UFC market. MMA is global, and their are many untapped markets that the organization plans on taking full advantage of. Another compelling reason this organization is one to watch.

Okami would dominate Mladenov.

Mladenov (because he's bulgarian) will defeat Okami in a very ferocious manner, and then k.o. him.

I just don't see it. Mladenov looked pretty sub-par against a green Miree. Okami's wrestling has proven to be better and his striking is also better from what I've seen of Mladenov.

Nakamura is definitely a possibility but I think Kawamura is.most.likely.

Agreed. They should add stomps too. They allowed knees and I know I saw some soccer kicks thrown without any fouls so add stomps and all will be good in the MMA universe again.
