Jorgensen vs. Formiga among three fights targeted for UFC Fight Night in Natal, Brazil Empty Jorgensen vs. Formiga among three fights targeted for UFC Fight Night in Natal, Brazil

We've got a few fight announcements to get through for this upcoming (but not officially announced) UFC Fight Night card in Natal, Brazil this March. In total there are 3 new bouts slated for the show, and the biggest one is a flyweight fight between Scott Jorgensen and Jussier Formiga (per MMA Fighting).

Jorgensen (14-8) made his flyweight debut at UFC on Fox 9 in Sacramento, losing a decision to late replacement Zach Makovsky. It's Jorgensen's 4th loss in his last 5 fights, and he now holds a sub-.500 record in the UFC (3-4). Formiga (15-3) has been a bit of a disappointment since signing with the UFC in 2012. The BJJ black belt, who hails from Natal, has suffered knockout losses to Joseph Benavidez and John Dodson, with a sole win against Chris Cariaso sandwiched between the two defeats.

The other two fights reported for UFC Fight Night 38 are a pair of middleweight contests: C.B. Dollaway against TUF Brazil winner Cezar Ferreira, plus Thiago Santos against Ronny Markes.

Dollaway (13-5) lost a highly controversial decision against Tim Boetsch at UFC 166, and a win would've otherwise given him 3 wins in a row. His previous trip to Brazil saw him beat Daniel Sarafian by split decision in the UFC on FX 7 FOTN. Ferreira (7-2) won TUF Brazil against Sergio Moraes, and after injuries delayed his post-TUF phase of his career, "Mutante" submitted Thiago Santos with a guillotine choke and then edged out Daniel Sarafian at UFC Fight Night 32 in November.

Markes (14-2) saw his 7 fight winning streak and undefeated run in the UFC end at the hands of Yoel Romero, who knocked him out cold in the 3rd round of their UFC Fight Night 31 encounter. Santos (8-2), as mentioned earlier, was guillotined by Ferreira at UFC 163 in less than a minute. It was a fight he took on short notice to replace the injured Clint Hester.

Previously confirmed for UFC FN 38 is a light heavyweight showdown between Fabio Maldonado and Gian Villante. The card is expected to be held on March 23rd, but all official details should be announced by the UFC shortly.
