Ruslan Provodnikov returns to HBO on June 14, Andrade-Rose could be co-feature

Ruslan Provodnikov will headline an HBO card on June 14, as was expected, and the co-feature could be a 154-pound title fight between Demetrius Andrade and Brian Rose.
Ruslan Provodnikov will return to make the first defense of his WBO junior welterweight title on June 14, with HBO televising the fight. An opponent has not yet been determined, but that has been the rumored date for a bit now.
The show could feature two WBO world title bouts, as Demetrius Andrade, another of Artie Pelullo's fighters, may make his defense against Brian Rose on the same night. Bob Arum works with Pelullo to promote Provodnikov's fights on HBO, but says the Andrade-Rose fight is Artie's call, and that Pelullo does want to do it.
Provodnikov (23-2, 16 KO) enjoyed a breakout year in 2013, losing a close decision to WBO welterweight titlist Timothy Bradley in what many felt was the Fight of the Year, then lifting the 140-pound belt from Mike Alvarado with a dominant performance in October, in Alvarado's hometown of Denver.
Andrade (20-0, 13 KO) also fought twice in 2013, beating Freddy Hernandez in January, and then winning a split decision over Vanes Martirosyan to claim the vacant WBO junior middleweight title in November. Rose (25-1-1, 7 KO) is a 29-year-old fighter from Blackpool, England, who beat Prince Arron in 2011 for the British title at 154 pounds, defending it successfully three times and keeping a busy schedule. He's gone 7-0 since beating Arron, including three wins last year over Joachim Alcine, Alexey Ribchev, and Javier Maciel.

Big fan of Provodnikov right here. It's been rumored for a while he'll fight Antonio Demarco.
