M-1 Challenge 53 Beijing Newsflash: Damian Grabowski vs. Sergei Kharitonov

Former HW champion of Russian organization M-1 Global, Damian Grabowski (19-2) will fight at M-1 Challenge 53, November 11 in Beijing, the capital of China. He will face the veteran of Pride FC and Strikeforce, Sergei Kharitonov (21-5).  The information was confirmed by the M-1 matchmaker, Stanislava Kharlamov.

The "Polish Pitbull" last fought on August 15 on the anniversary gala M-1 Challenge 50 in St. Petersburg.
The duel with Martin Tybura did not end well for Damian Grabowski, who has been submitted in the first round. For many years Grabowski was considered the No.1 HW in the Polish rankings.

Sergei Kharitonov has won the last three fights, which took place on native soil. During the last performance at the gala Tech-Krep Fighting Championship he TKOed East in round 2. The Russian has competed in the legendary Pride FC ring and Strikeforce. Interestingly, the "Paratrooper" in addition to a career in MMA, he continues his career in K-1.

Awesome! M-1 in China could be the event of the year. If Kharitonov wins he´ll get the titleshot against Tybura/Smoldarev.

M-1 is still king of the HWs.

On the other hand imagine M-1,KSW and bellator all coming together for a hw tourny

guys like Tybura,Grabowski,Kharitonov,Pudz,Bedorf,Minakov,Volkov and Kongo all in one tournament just to name a few!

Nice fight on paper. You never know which Sergei is going to show up though. I'm just hoping for a good competitive fight.
