Bellator MMA Lightweight World Champion "Ill" Will Brooks (15-1) returns to action on April 10, when he faces top contender Dave "The Fugitive" Jansen (20-2) at Bren Events Center in Irvine, Calif on April 10.
The two men compete in the headlining bout of the newly announced "Bellator: Brooks vs. Jansen" event, which also features a middleweight affair between Brazilian knockout machine Rafael Carvalho (10-1) and another man known for his sensational striking in Joe Schilling (2-3)

Kudos to Bellator for giving Jansen his title shot. Schilling/Carvalho should be fun.

The new matchups include a main-card lightweight contest of Marcin Held (20-3) vs. Alexander "Tiger" Sarnavskiy (30-2), as well as preliminary bouts of bantamweights Jared "The Jackhammer" Papazian (18-11) vs. Raja Shippen (14-9-1), middleweights Joey "Mexicutioner" Beltran (15-11) vs. Brian "The Professional Predator" Rogers (11-7), lightweights Saad "Assassin" Awad (17-6) vs. Rob "C4" Sinclair (12-2) and flyweights Jonathan Santa Maria (3-0) vs. Steve Ramirez (0-1).

This card has some really good matchup and should produce great action.....tho im sure stu and the rest of team haterade will say it sucks and blah blah scott coker blah blah lmao.

Held vs sarnavsky is EXCELLENT!!!

Additional new preliminary contests added to the lineup include a 150-pound catchweight contest of Cleber Luciano (10-5) vs. Aaron "Blood Spiller" Miller (14-9) bantamweights Chad "Savage" George (15-8 ) vs. Mark Vorgeas (5-2-1), middleweights Ben Jones (4-4) vs. Luc Bondole (4-1-1), welterweights John "Johnny Merc" Mercurio (6-7) vs. Greg Parker (4-1) and featherweights Marcos "Murder Marx" Bonilla (1-1) vs. A.J. McKee (0-0).

A previously announced preliminary contest of bantamweights Jared Papazian (18-11) vs. Raja Shippen (14-9-1) has been removed from the card.

Great to see Volkov back. Long overdue. However, I wonder what's up with Minakov. He says he's not retiring but I wonder what's up.

Also, great to see Guerrero getting another chance.

This looks like a good card.

Some good fights coming up tonight.

Volkov seriously needs to dedicate himself to either bjj or a serious strength building regiment.

He was easily overpowered and outgrappled by johnson.

I think Volkov has been putting on muscle because he's gone from 225 to 243 in the last two years. I think he needs to continue working on his wrestling. Sad he lost since I'm a Volkov fan.

Held is tied with palhares as leglock kings!!!

Tiger just got mentally broken and in the 3rd succumbs to the relentless grappling of held.

Second straight Bellator with a verbal submission due to kneebar. I know they mentioned it but it must be said again. That's a weakness for Tiger as he got mentally broken when he lost to Brooks.

I agree. Palhares and Held are Kings of the leg lock. It is unreal how good each of them are with that submission. Very impressived with the kneebar Held got on Tiger last night.

Jansen looked good.....for about 5 mins lol brooks is legit great champ.

Schilling is too one dimensional and he's weak in the clinch

his ground looked ok.... he didnt do enough to win though

I would love to see Held become the champion! Brooks will not be an easy fight for him though.

Same here. Held fight was great. Rest, not so much. No doubt Schilling lost. No reason for him to be complaining.
