bjorn was welcoming of fighters from all countries and gave them a tournament to prove their worth...not hand given title shots and favouritism in match ups

While this is undoubtedly bad news for those on the list, especially since Bellator is one of only three organizations that has a big television deal, it doesn't always mean the situation is permanent. The UFC and virtually every other promotion in the community typically have a revolving door policy. In most cases, the athletes just need to get back on the regional circuit and put some much needed wins on their resumes.

Silva,duarte,cesar neves are dumb releases im hoping its just a case of not being able to keep them active and losses so they goin to regional until wins.

Dumb releases, but it's kinda dumb they had some of those guys in the first place if they were planned to cut them after 1 loss

Razak al hassan is straight garbage shouldn't been here anyway

Jesse juarez was hit and miss could be bak with a win or two to get momentum but basically he is replaceable.

Alejandro villalobos i never seem fight.....so i can assume hes replaceable lol

Ok this is where i get confused....

Curtis Millender while coming off loss looked like an intriguing prospect id like to see bak in bellator i think he will be with some tuning.

Antonio Duarte i liked and am saddened by his departure hooe he gets another shot somewhere soon.

Rafael Silva i liked watching him fight hes a pretty god fighter tho he has a tendency to give up when on bottom which i think may have led to his release.Great muay thai gold jits but beatable by alot of the wrestlers.hope he ends up in ONE.

Worst decisiob on the list is julio cesar neves one of my fav prospects.

Dude has great striking and grappking and is a finisher.

But he also finished tons of cans to ger such a crazy good record so young in bellator his best win was poppies martinez who is a gatekeeper at best.he was finished by a relatively unknown prospect.

My thought process is that Neves wanted a fight soon which wasnt possible,and rather then have him sit out fir a month or two let him tune himself in brazil comeback better and with sone wins and make a run.

Also i think this is confirming the calls coker was talking about.....hopefully soon we will see a wave of signings that will clarify a bit what the thought process was.

Rafael Silva: Unless he was asking for too much money a really dumb cut. A guy in your top 5 and somewhat a name. He should be able to get into the UFC but I want to see him in WSOF or 1C so he can help them out.
Sokoudjou: Unless he was asking for too much money an even dumber cut than Silva. A guy in the top 10 of your most important division, has held two major championships (Dream and KSW), and has 18 fights in major promotions, and clearly a mid-level name. A shoe in for either WSOF or 1C though I hope to see him in 1C.

Jesse Juarez/Razak Al-Hassan/Julio Cesar Neves: These guys can really end up anywhere but have a better chance than the other guys (except Silva and Soak-a-jew of course)
Antonio Duarte/Allejandro Villolobos: Can really go anywhere.
Curtis Millender:Can go anywhere and looking at his two losses it looks like he was brought in to feed to better guys.

Mostly decent cuts with a few wtf's thrown in there. I hope this is just Coker making room for some names.

Disagree about Sokoudjou. Not a bad fighter but I'm not sure it was a dumb move. He's not an amazing fighter or prospect though I'm surprised he got cut especially with only one loss. Sokoudjou was not a DREAM champion. He was runner up in the Super Hulk Tournament.

Silva and Neves were the shocking cuts given how talented and how much potential both had. I really don't understand those two getting release. Silva did miss weight twice and the one against Emerson was no excuse as he had a full camp so maybe that hurt him.

The others were expendable.

I don't understand Bellator cuts sometimes as it seems like they occasionally have one strike policies. There's definitely some better cuts out there like Mike Richman, Nam Phan, Lavar Johnson, Stephan Bonnar, and Brian Rogers
