The highly anticipated rematch for the Bellator lightweight title between Brent Primus and Michael Chandler is reportedly is set for December 14.

Primus will make his return to the Bellator cage for the first time since capturing the title, against Chandler, at Bellator NYC in June 2017. He picked up the victory after Chandler suffered an ankle injury which forced a doctor’s stoppage in the first round. Primus brings an 8-0 record into the fight, six of those in the Bellator cage as he hopes to put his rival behind him now that Chandler has re-signed with Bellator.

Chandler bounced back from losing the title with a pair of dominant performances. At Bellator 192 in January, Chandler picked up a one-sided unanimous decision win over the surging Goiti Yamauchi. A little less than three months later, “Iron” submitted Brandon Girtz in the first round with an arm-triangle choke at Bellator 197.

Glad we're finally getting this fight. I hope Primus doesn't get injured.

Finally the rematch. Looking forward to it. It should be a good one.

Will be nice to see Mir back in the Bellator cage.  I will be pulling for him this time.

He is due for a title shot soon, I agree. He is a dangerous fight for anyone at FW.

Great call with Primus for the RIZIN LW GP coming up. He would be a great rep. for them and probably a favorite to take it all.

I will get AJ McKee in the FW rankings next month. Probably contenders list for now. He should get a fight with Straus as a top contender fight.

Aung La Nsang is another as he too holds two belts, looked dominant, won the LHW, and successfully defended the MW twice.

Probably never cause ESPN probably didn't give a shit about MMA till after The Ultimate Fighter. Honestly, I thought Bisping was in 2016 but that's it in recent years. I thought Kyoji Horiguchi was fighter last year, Mo in 2015, and Chandler this year.

That's right. He should be right up there as well. We should do a vote for Global-MMA fighter of the year again like we did with Minakov that one year and all the awards votes the year before.
