Public Press Conference! BOM-BA-YE 2012 Is Near

The public press conference for the December 31st IGF “INOKI BOM-BA-YE 2012″ event took place yesterday at Shinjuku Station Square and around 700 people attended in the rain. Not much was said or happened to be honest, Naoya Ogawa didn’t attend and Kazuyuki Fujita got pissed and went home, Shinichi Suzukawa was a bit cocky but Mirko CroCop answered in his usual calm manner and Antonio Inoki poked a little at the same-day DREAM.18 & GLORY 4 event. Inoki also said that next year he wants to invite fighters from China and Pakistan.

Rolles Gracie Is Vale Tudo! Wants More Fights In Japan

Rolles Gracie, who has been in Japan for 4 days already, held an open training session for the press today at the IGF Dojo. He will take on the first ever DEEP Megaton (Open-Weight) champion Yusuke Kawaguchi at the IGF “INOKI BOM-BA-YE 2012″ event on the 31st.

Regarding the IGF MMA rules, which will allow elbows, stomps and soccer kicks, Rolles said that these rules are better than the common MMA rules and that he’d like to give it a go next time as well if headbutts are added. But don’t expect anything flashy in his fight since he says that he wants to match his opponents way of fighting, meaning it will depend on his opponent whether he wins by KO, submission or decision.

He also said that he’s happy since fighting in Japan has always been his dream, and he wants to continue fighting in Japan from now on as well.
