One again Arash Pride FC – which may be under another name, Bushido Lithuania – was held in Kazakhstan this past Saturday, December 22. The promotion first made international ripples when it hired Bob Sapp for a summer card, then when it sent Kazakh team fighters to Japan’s RINGS promotion. The results from that event were exciting, Kazuyuki Miyata needed all three rounds to defeat Erzan Estanov by decision, Asif Tagiev upset Shungo Oyama by TKO, and Aslan Toktarbaev again showed Kazakh strength with a decision over Keisuke Fujiwara.

Filipino Roldan Sangcha’an of Team Lakay was invited to face Toktorbaev on his native ground, and upset the hometown hero in stunning fashion.

The year ended on a high for the Filipino flyweight when he scored a first round head kick KO win over Kazakhstan champion Assulan Toktarbaev at the Almaty Central Stadium on Saturday night.

ROAD FC CEO Jung MoonHung accompanied two MMA Story team fighters to the event: Cha JungHwan, off a reecent win at ONE FC over Igor Gracie, and Choi MooGwun. According to MFight, Cha won by armbar in the second round, and Choi racked up a decision, in what was called “Arash Pride FC versus The World”.
