Since it's 2013 G-MMA needs to step it up

Im feeling up to it, I will launch another full scale hype train for us online starting today. As long as my lil girl doesnt get sick again im on this 100%

Come to think of it... I need to contact the ownership of those forums, sites, or organizations. I should try to set up a promotional arrangement where they encourage their English speaking members to come talk with us and we show them how much we are promoting their orgs and fighters into the English speaking online MMA community in the western world.

I'm sure they'd love what we're doing here and really dig CDF47's G-MMA World Rankings.  

Mmmm... let me think this thru. I've done these type of deals a number of times in business for cross-promotion with other companies or corporate pilot projects so I'll work on a strategy.

Dag's idea looks solid. The problem with promoting the website on other forums is that it usually gets you banned. But if the ownership of these would allow us to put out the rankings & get discussion going, maybe we could get some members.

I created a new account on Sherdog the other day. I'll make one for the UG as well. Maybe we could list the forums here that are worth visiting and we can keep an eye out for good members. Send them PMs, etc.

 Yeah the rankings is probably the best way to get our name out there. I use to post the rankings on linker and mmashare and I hope people will look for the global-mma rankings everytime they look for talent outside UFC. CDF47 posts the rankings on Sherdog and they create some good discussion.

RTT should infultrate the m-1 forums and post the rankings, I go there but the language barrier is a bitch.

I would like to hear everyones vision and plan if possible. How can we make the mma scene better for fans/fighters and promotions all over the world? How can we break the Zuffa stranglehold on the sport?

^Promotions outside UFC need to work with each other more & make the big cross-promotional fights when necessary.  We almost had one with Jan vs. Rumble.  Wish that would have happened and hope it still does.  Shlemenko vs. Khalidov is another one that needs to happen.  KSW wants this fight and it's up to Bellator and Shlemenko.

I think our rankings could become standard for the promotions outside UFC so they can determine what superfights to make. We just need to get in touch with all the promotions. Who´s ready for this task?

What kind of vision do the rest of you guys have? Like I said before this is a movement of great fans who want to make a change. We´re the only ones fighting the good fight right now and MMA needs us badly.

 I'm up for it for sure and Dag sounded like he was as well.  Need to come up with a game plan.

I'm with CDF47. I believe making the rankings a mainstay on promotions' forums & the major MMA social media hotspots will help build the site's member base. Most fans of the sport know nothing about fighters outside the UFC, as they now hold a great piece of the pie in terms of "name" talent & recognition; but with the G-MMA rankings, we could push them towards checking out the ranked guys in KSW, M-1, ONE FC, Legend, etc.

One thought I have, is we should make an effort to contact Bjorn Rebney, Victor Cui, and Pierre Andurand to put on a DREAM super show on NYE in Saitama, Japan.  Glory & ONE FC pulled off a great show last year and now with the GLORY relationship with Bellator, they should be able to work together to put on one hell of an event.  Imagine the amazing fights that could be made on that day.  KSW would be another good option who seem willing to work with other promotions, especially for one fight deals.  M-1 would be another great option.

The event would use our rankings to determine top ranked fights.  To focus just on GLORY, Bellator, and ONE FC, below is a suggested fight card:

Pat Curran (1) vs. Tatsuya Kawajiri (3) - Bellator/ONE FC Cross-Promotional Fight
Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (5) vs. Tyrone Spong (NR) - Bellator/GLORY Cross-Over Fight
Bibiano Fernandes (1) vs. Eduardo Dantas (3) - Bellator/ONE FC Cross-Promotional Fight
King Mo (3) vs. Yoshiyuki Nakanishi (10) - Bellator/ONE FC Cross-Promotional Fight
Ben Askren (1) vs. Takenori Sato ( 8 ) - Bellator/ONE FC Cross-Promotional Fight
Patricio Freire (4) vs. Koji Oishi (C) - Bellator/ONE FC Cross-Promotional Fight
RVR (NR) vs. Kikuno/Kitaoka (NR) - ONE FC/GLORY Cross-Over Fight

The GLORY kickboxing portion of the show should be another 16 man HW GP like last year. For additional kickboxing fights, they should mix in some MMA fighters from Bellator and ONE FC into kickboxing matches.  They should put in some solid strikers like Paul Daley, M'Pumbu, Ole Laursen, and other strikers from Bellator and ONE FC.

The kickboxing matches should be mixed in with the MMA matches like DREAM and K-1 and PRIDE and K-1 did in the past rather than having essentially two separate shows like they did last year (starting with DREAM and ending with GLORY).

For the MMA fights, they should utilize Asian MMA full rules with soccer kicks, stomps, knees on the ground, and elbows (including 12-6 elbows) (ONE FC rules with stomps or PRIDE rules with elbows) to be fought in the white DREAM ring in Saitama Japan.  They should have two 10 minute rounds and if the fight is a draw after 2 rounds, there should be a third 5 minute round.  Yellow cards and point deductions should be handed out for timidity (LNP, stalling, point fighting,...) which could lead to a DQ if necessary.  The scoring criteria should be mainly based on damage and effective striking and grappling and aggression similar to ONE FC scoring criteria.

They could put this on PPV (this could be the first Bellator PPV) and start at 10 PM EST like UFC events from Japan.  It will end at around 7 AM EST. If not live TV PPV, then they could do another $20 Internet live stream.  This could get heavy marketing on Spike TV with countdown shows, primetime shows, and maybe a couple preliminary fights.  Bellator and GLORY could also re-air the show one week later on Spike TV and ONE FC could do the same with their telvision affiliates.  They could all share the rights to the video library for the event.

What's your thoughts Dag and Johan and anyone else? 

The best I know now is to contact the promoters through Twitter or Facebook but if you have some better options, please let me know.  Wonder if Eddie Goldman could help us out on this as well.

The G-MMA hype machine keeps going. It would be great if our new team members invites all the legit fans they know and spread the word about our site and our rankings as much as possible.

I posted our September rankings on the M-1 forum and they were deleted very soon after. I posted them just like you guys do on the other sites along with the link.
