Just like the Pride GP of the golden days, im excited for this.

I wouldn't go that far yet. I'd really like to see who will be in the field first.

Sounds great. Hopefully they get some solid fighters in this HW GP. Monson should be in it or he should just get an automatic shot first. Wish they could pick up someone like Sergei, AA, Grabowski, Perak, Raz, or Soa for this tournament.

cd i dont think we will see alot of big names but i hope we can enjoy a nice gp...

i dont know if kenny garner is part of the gp or he fights the winner for the title...

smoldarev, malikov are locks for the gp.....

i dont see monson in this, he has a contract for super fights but you never know....

I would think that if Monson did actually say that they knowingly let Aleks fight with Hep C (if he does have it) that Jeff may have burned a big bridge for himself. Maybe defamation suit to follow??? idk

jeff signed an extension with m-1 for 3 more fights, and to be honest if m-1 did not filed a lawsuit back in 2009 they will not doit this time around, thats just me, m-1 and aleks has split for the second and last time and they need a big name like monson to stick around...

Hopefully they have it setup so the winner fights Garner. Some solid locks so far but really hoping for Monson, AA, Soa, Raz, or Grabowski to get a top guy in the GP.

Yeah, it is weird he just signed a contract extension (I believe 4 fight deal) and now this. Hopefully his M-1 days aren't over.

Monson is important to keep around (top HW) for them. They need some more like him.

yes....he has potential he is a world champ in sambo and i think he can make a nice run....last time they threw him to early to a veteran like buentello....

i really dont think m-1 has the money to do this as much as fun it is sounds...

I'd be fine with just Kharitonov and Arlovski mixed with Malikov and other prospects.

good list but oleinik vs tony lopez will happen a week before the gp in another show in russia...

maybe gluhov he is a nice fighter and also ill add andreas kraniotakes to the bunch...

Yeah, I figured that out later. Completely forgot about Gluhov, who'd probably make for a more exciting participant.

Cool poster, can't wait to hear the announcements for the other participants. Should be a fun tournament.
