Wed Jan 16, 2013 4:29 pm
Three Indonesian Mixed Martial Artists are set to battle in ONE Fighting ChampionshipTM (ONE FC) on 2 February 2013 when ONE FC: RETURN OF WARRIORS takes place live from the world-renowned Stadium Putra in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
These three Indonesian warriors will be carrying the weight of an emerging super power, with a population of 247 million people, on their shoulders as they step into the famed ONE FC cage on fight night.
Tickets for ONE FC: RETURN OF WARRIORS, powered by Tune Talk are on sale now at www.AirAsiaRedTix.com. Tickets are priced at RM345 for the complete VIP experience that includes exclusive red carpet entrance, access to the VIP lounge and premium cage-side seating. The categories that follow are priced at RM145, RM95 and RM45 respectively. Booking fees and service charges apply.
Fans from around the world can witness the action online via live streaming at www.onefc.livesport.tv. The first two undercard fights are available for viewing free-of-charge and the main card fights will be available for purchase at just US$9.99.
CEO of ONE Fighting ChampionshipTM Victor Cui stated, "Indonesia is quickly emerging as a global super power on the world stage and also in MMA. Krishna, Silawanto and Romulo are just three of the many top Indonesian fighters that we signed to exclusivity. I expect that all three fighters will bring their "A" game come 2 February."
Leo Krishna is considered to be one of the most exciting prospects in all of MMA. Indonesian fans from around the archipelago have placed their faith in Krishna's ability to be a future ONE FC world champion. With an outstanding ground game, the submission specialist feels at home on the canvas and will ultimately try to finish his opponent via submission. The "Pride of Java" will pose a tough challenge for the always impressive Malaysian Peter Davis when they clash for national pride and glory on 2 February.
Indonesian MMA veteran Zuli Silawanto has a background in kickboxing, Pencak Silat and Submission Wrestling. Silawanto is a warrior who has never backed down from a tough fight and stepping into the ONE FC cage for the second time will be the biggest test of his career and will be his first major test outside of Indonesia against an international opponent. He faces Malaysian hometown hero Adam Kayoom in front of a passionately pro Malaysian crowd and fans can expect nothing but high octane action when these two brawlers meet at ONE FC: RETURN OF WARRIORS.
Antoni Romulo is an Indonesian wrestling champion who made his MMA debut in Bali, Indonesia in 2007. After tasting victory with a TKO in his debut he has had to wait almost six years for his second fight and aims to take all that frustration out on his opponent come 2 February. He has been training extensively in BJJ and has also cross-trained in Chinese Sanda. Romulo is determined and eager to put on a display which will linger long in the minds of fight fans for years to come.
"Indonesia and Malaysia have always had a great sports rivalry and now it will extend into the fastest growing sport in the world - MMA. Krishna vs. Davis and Silawanto vs. Kayoom will be battles that Indonesian and Malaysian fight fans don't want to miss as their national champions pit their skills in the largest MMA organization in Asia for the pride and glory of their country. I'm also excited to see how homegrown Indonesian wrestling champion Antoni Romulo does against an NCAA Division 1 Champion from the USA. This is a big test for these three great Indonesian warriors and I know everyone is looking forward to the excitement", added Cui.
