UFC 174 adds Bang vs Johnson, plus Tanaka’s debut, Kunimoto’s return Empty UFC 174 adds Bang vs Johnson, plus Tanaka’s debut, Kunimoto’s return

Korean Top Team Coach Ha Dongjin has confirmed that Bang Tae-Hyun will make his next UFC appearance on June 14th. UFC 174 also sees Michinori Tanaka’s debut, and Kiichi Kunimoto’s second match.
Bang Tae-Hyun made his debut in UFC with a tough 3-rounder with Mairbek Taisumov that ended in a UD not in his favor. Bang won the DEEP Lightweight Championship in 2008 against Kazunori Yokota by knockout, then vacated the title to compete in Sengoku where he faced Takanori Gomi and Jorge Masvidal. Johnson was a competitor on TUF: Canada vs. Australia where he lost by KO in the semis, but received enough fan support to launch him on a career in the UFC.
Kunimoto, a fellow UFC debutant on the Singapore card with Bang, will make his second appearance as well. Kunimoto won by DQ due to illegal elbows from Luiz Jorge Dutra Jr. without having much time to prove himself in the cage. His opponent Daniel Sarafian has 3 UFC fights under his belt already. Both fighters have a hefty amount of wins by submission so there’s a good idea of where this fight will go.
PXC Champ Tanaka makes his anticipated debut on the card as well. A Shooto Rookie Champ in 20122, Tanaka has been on a beeline to success in his young career. The 23-year old is undefeated and has already shown he can go for a full 5 rounds – twice – as he’s done to get the PXC title and to keep it. Tanaka meets Roland Delorme in his first appearance, a fighter who has already spent half his career in the UFC. Delorme has put on some active and exciting fights thus far, and this match up with Tanaka should be fireworks.

This is the first time I even saw Bagautinov challenging for the title at this event. Great fight, it'll be a tough test for Johnson to retain.

Outside a pretty run of the mill fight with Kunimoto and Sarafian, this card already looks pretty entertaining. I just have a feeling that Woodley is going to really push the pace and make Rory fight.
