This Is Shoot! Shooto 2013 Round Two Takes Shape Empty This Is Shoot! Shooto 2013 Round Two Takes Shape

Tue Jan 22, 2013 3:43 am
At the “Professional Shooto 2013 1st Round” event yesterday the first four fights were announced for the March 16th “Professional Shooto 2013 2nd Round” event which will take place at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

Veteran Yuji Hoshino, who has only fought twice this decade, will return to take on Krazy Bee’s Yusuke Yachi, who is on a four-fight winning streak, in a Shooto Pacific-Rim Lightweight title fight.

Hoshino went undefeated for 11 fights between 2005 and 2008 and won the Cage Force Featherweight tournament and title during that period. He then entered a bigger promotion in Sengoku where he lost to the great Marlon Sandro. He bounced back, though, and submitted UFC participant Nick Denis a few months later, in 2010. After that he was inactive for two years until he made his return in March of 2012, when he defeated Akitoshi Tamura at a Shooto event.

KO artist Hanzo Tanaka will look to win his 6th fight in a row against veteran Hideki Kadowaki who, on the flip side, will look to get back on the winning track.

Former Bantamweight King of Pancrase Manabu Inoue will face the less experienced Kenji Yamamoto in a Shooto Featherweight fight.

And in the fourth announced bout, ultra exciting and tough Korean Nam Jin Jo will look to wreck Tobizaru No.2′s (Yosuke Saruta) winning streak in a Shooto Bantamweight fight.

Well, there goes my idea for Hoshino challenging Sasaki for his new Pacific Rim title. Before getting finished by Sandro, he look really good at featherweight, specifically his run to the Cage Force title.

Excited for Manabu, Nam, and the coming out party for a new prospect (lets face it, Kadowaki is getting.finished again)
