Konstantin Erokhin - Official Fighter Thread

Wo... is this guy solid. Fedor hand speed (maybe faster) with the kinda power and torque that you don't see all together at HW very often. Pretty rare in fact. I imagine his submission grappling is as good or better due to his credentials.
Konstantin Erokhin (Константин Ерохин)
Birthplace: Moscow, Russia
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 235 lbs
Age: 30 yrs old
Record: 3 fights (2W - 1L)
- built like a Russian tank but wider, more muscular and with less of a neck, haha... think Manhoef - explosive on the feet but a wider and thicker and whiter version - haha
- 2nd Place Russian Combat Sambo Championships (got f'd over in a very close point win to Kirill)
- 'Sambo 70' Combat Sambo team & fought his 1st MMA fight in their MMA org League S-70
- Master of Sport Combat Sambo... like Fedor
How about those pull ups for a 235lb guy? Wo... The guys looks a Russian Olympic weightlifter or shot putter. His power, speed, and explosiveness are really impressive.
Konstantin Erokhin vs Nikolai Danilov - Fight Nights: Battle of Moscow 11 - 04/20/13
Some really nice counter striking there with really impressive speed.
Konstantin Erokhin vs Jermaine Van Roy - Fight Nights:Battle of Moscow 9 - 12/06/12

Erokhin is my new favourite fighter , I love explosive heavyweights. You don´t see this handspeed very often. Hopefully he´ll be in the next M-1 GP.

The power jabs to the body and power right hands at distance to the body were phenomenal vs Danilov. Sergei would approve. 8)

I was real impressed with his fight on Saturday. I was surprised to see he only had a few pro fights because he looked so solid. It is clear now that he was the guy that fought Kiril in Russia Combat Sambo so that explains it. Looking forward to seeing his next fight.Dagwood wrote:Wo... is this guy solid. CD, I thought the same thing about him having more fights..
I would hate to have him on top of me smashing me with punches.
I hope to see more of him in the future.
Also see the size of his weight training partner..Geez lol

Holy shit this guy's striking is pretty amazing. For a thick guy, he's fast and has good technique to go along with that KO power. I'm also impressed with his head movement.

Hehe. I called Amagov & most all the Russians knocking everybody into the ground now. Minakov & Ali B will be future world champions anywhere they want to.CDF47 wrote:^I'm liking this call Dag. Eronkhin is looking pretty damn solid. Hope he gets a step up in competition soon.
The only guy I faltered on is Shamil Zavurov but he was fighting guys way bigger than him and not cutting weight really. He'll be back strong at 155. That is all his fault not mine. ha
I should be a talent scout. 8)
I know some people don't like me saying it... but Russia & and it's republics will be 'the' MMA powerhouse in the future. It is statistically impossible for them not to be. The millenia old fighting culture, Sambo (national sport) submission wrestling in schools and every male getting 2 years of conscripted military hand to hand Combat Sambo training can't be denied. That's a pool of 10's of millions of 'already' mixed martial artists. Then when you take into account their international athletic programs and the extreme level of athletes/athletic success in so many sports... the juggernaut is just starting. There is no precedent for this anywhere.

The Russian government, Fedor, & Vadim are taking the future of MMA to a whole other level. Dana & Lorenzo are too short-sited and selfish to accomplish anything like this. Fedor and his organization will be the ones to make MMA a 'truly' international sport. Along the the way pro MMA will benefit greatly but it will be 'many' national organizations and vast numbers of international fighters. It will not just be one company & 3 guys ruling international professional MMA. The world & sport is just to big for that to happen.

And the zuffa fanboys wet their pants over Pat Barry, Matt Mitrione and Browne. Erokhin would beat the shit out of them.

You have definitely made some good calls on Russian fighters. Next up, waiting for Minakov to take the Bellator belt.Dagwood wrote:Hehe. I know Konstantin beat Evgeny but I heard they were brothers and thought it was a weird matchup back when it took place. From what I read on fight nights homepage they´re not brothers.

It's interesting to note that Kiril the supposed 'tomato can' beat Erokhin for the world HW combat sambo champion ship last year. Kiril looks to have come a long way tately. May he will make a return to MMA for M-1.
