At least Jones will have some more legit competition now rather than weight jumpers/bloaters.

While I would like to imagine this is a fight between two of the world's best at the weight, Jones is so much better than Gus.

While Gustafsson has improved and Jones isn't nearly as accomplished of a wrestler as Davis, what makes people think the same couldn't happen in this fight if a green Davis could submit Gus?

I would love to see them stand but like its been said Jones will toy with him and get his timing then take him down elbows will come if he doesn't tko Gus he will get him arm triangle either way it ends on the ground.

The best part for me is that Jones will be fight someone of his physical stature. His size has been a HUGE advantage for him until this fight. Even how he grapples using his length and long levers should not provide him the kind of edge he's had in the past.

I'm gonna say it... How do we know Jones doesn't have a glass chin? He's never really been hit there even once. My gut tells me his pencil-thin neck and pointy chin are going to be the chink in his armor at some point. Gustafson has the power and physical size to get to Jones on the feet that others have not. I think this is going to be a very good test for Jones. If he passes this he needs to move to heavy weight or his legacy will suffer.

A heavyweight tilt between 2 tuf alumni is now slated for ufc 165.

Personally I like schaub and mittrione they have both showed flashes of brilliance and suffered losses only to return stronger also both lost to Nelson LOL.

Schaub had great overall agility,footwork,and speed some good power just needs to fight smarter he gets antsy and trys to force angles leading to him getting caught.with some emphisis on his boxing and wrestling he could be a great fighter.

Mittrione is one of my sleeper favorite hws he has tremendous power in his hands and hand speed is surprising with work in his cardio and footwork he could be a ko machine.

The most undervalued quality of both is the background in football making them very light on the feet and prone to quick bursts of power and speed,with range work both could be very fun to watch can't wait.

Going with Mittrione in this one.

Schaub is far too chinny to have any real.success in the heavyweight division.

An intriguing lightweight matchup between eight-time Strikeforce veteran Pat Healy (29-16 MMA, 0-0 UFC) and undefeated Russian prospect Khabib Nurmagomedov (20-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) has been added to September's UFC 165 event.

UFC officials today announced the new booking. While the bout's positioning on the evening's official lineup was not revealed, it seems destined for a main-card slot.

Featuring a pair of championship matchups, "UFC 165: Jones vs. Gustafsson" takes place Sept. 21 at Toronto's Air Canada Centre. The evening's main card airs on pay-per-view following preliminary bouts that air on FOX Sports 1 and stream on Facebook.

Healy, who's currently ranked No. 9 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie.com MMA lightweight rankings, made his UFC debut in April and scored an impressive third-round submission win over perennial contender Jim Miller. However, that fight was erased from the record books when Healy tested positive for marijuana following the win. Still, "Bam Bam" sports a 9-1 mark in his past 10 official contests.

Meanwhile, Nurmagomedov sits at No. 15 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie.com MMA lightweight rankings. A 24-year-old wrestling stud and judo black belt, Nurmagomedov made his UFC debut in January 2012 and already owns wins over Abel Trujillo, Thiago Tavares, Gleison Tibau and Kamal Shalorus. While he seems a top contender in the division, he did miss weight in a Mat fight with Trujillo, adding a small blemish to an otherwise spotless career mark.

Good match-up.  Going with Khabib

I don't rate Khabib. I think Healy handles him for a dominant UD.

Khabib might struggle with Healy, who still has the frame of a welterweight and we saw.what happened in Khabib's fight with Tibau.

Wasn't exactly the top fighter he wanted I would imagine LOL

I think this is a great fight for khabib to prove people wrong for his sambo and excellent awareness to stay in a dominant but safe position will play out.

Also his handspeed is much better than healy he will unload on him.

Healy is a bigger frame but khabib has more well rounded skill and will likely decision tho I feel a tko is possible.

I agree he probly won't be champbut I don't think his chin is that bad he more puts himself in bad situations by leaping into punches and combinations and not getting in and out quick enough.

He is very agile and could be much like Travis Browne if he were to fucking concentrate on technique and footwork.he gets up just brawling and you hit me now I hit you mode lol

Meathead is a great ko artist his boxing is way underrated and his hand speed is crazy for his size.

His cardio has been his only downfall no one can touch him in the 1st LOL

With work on endurance ( something he says he's fixing) he could be a top mid tier fighter like a cheick Kongo and atleast one hell of a fighter to watch.

Yup Gus better hope Jones just wants to stand and even then not all that promising.

Not really looking forward to this card at all.

The main card is pretty solid. The rest is lackluster, for sure. Jones-Gus will be an intriguing fight, though, and I'll likely make a point to stay in and watch it.

jones has only beaten old fighters and fighters who arent that good. his reach is the only reason he keeps winning. gustafson has no ground game and got tooled by davis the only good grappler hes fought. terrible fight.
