Whether you like Dana or hate Dana he is well known.
Dana has told us of his background of being a boxer and lifelong super badass.
A few of the top UFC fighters who draw ppv buys are out. Dana can step up and save the company.
Instead of Roy Jones Jr. vs Anderson Silva.........Dana White vs Roy Jones Jr.
Remember when Dana put a hour and a half special on Spike tv explaining how his top star at the time Tito Ortiz was scared to box with him.

Now that is precisely the kind of vision the UFC too often seems to lack. Great idea, you certainly sold me.

Yeah, I never understood why Dana had to be in the public eye so much. It's obvious he has an ego the size of Mt. Everest.
He's out of touch too and basically caters to the bud light drinking, face the pain listening, trailer park rednecks. The sport would be more advanced without him imo.
He's the reason I get embarrassed even telling strangers that I'm an MMA fan or train. There first response is usually like "Oh you mean that UFC stuff?", "Ultimate Fightin'?", or the absoulute worst: "Cagefightin'?"
Usually I just refrain from even mentioning MMA to people who aren't hardcore fans the past few years.
I like many of the fighters, which is why I wish they'd get deservedly paid more, but I just hate the UFC as an overall product and the suits in charge. They are trying to make the sport all theirs.
I think if it warms up today, I may take my nephew to go shoot some "NBA".

I think what Dag is saying is now that Anderson and GSP are off the shelf, that Dana is the biggest star now.
Unfortunately, it's hard to disagree with.

UFC is in a tough spot. Many of their ppv stars are injured/leaving the company.
Zuffa needs somebody/anybody to step up and help the company.
Dana is a man that is fighting for his company. A man that is fighting for his livelihood.
Dana White vs. Roy Jones Jr. will be a big $$$ winner for Zuffa.
Go to 49 minutes and 12 seconds on the video from when Dana was getting ready to box Tito. It's as real as it gets.

It's both sad and pathetic that the UFC has spent more time over the years making Dana a star over their own fighters. But hey, I wouldn't mind seeing Dana get in the cage. Think of the dream fights.
Dana vs. Fedor, Dana vs. either Shamrock, Dana vs. Ben Askren (can you imagine Dana getting out wrestled for 3 rounds?), Dana vs. Randy Couture.

Agree. Other promotions focus on the fighters while UFC put all focus on Dana. It would be awesome to see Dana getting beat up, Scott Coker should get the shot.Rocksoldier84 wrote:It's both sad and pathetic that the UFC has spent more time over the years making Dana a star over their own fighters. That's why they're declining.
Coker deserves a shot. So does Vadim as well.
I think the only way Dana could win a fight is if it's like pro wrestling with Ariel Helwani throwing him a steel chair and distracting the referee.

Dana White talked trash about Tom Atencio(Affliction).
Yet Atencio stepped up and fought on a ppv show:

I just looked it up on Sherdog. Atencio is 2- 0.
Dana is/was the one talking trash ..... in his own mind and the minds of Zuffa zombies he's a lifelong badass though.

That's right. I think it has to do with his elite boxercise background.
