hopefully Curran doesn't dead him as bad as he deaded Joe Warren. Nobody should ever have to go through that again (except Joe Warren).

I disagree. I think this is a great idea from Bellator. Curran is on a losing streak while Yamauchi is a top prospect. Let's see where they stand at this point. I don't think Curran will squash him. Yamauchi is younger, bigger, and stronger than Warren is. Not to mention that Warren was an undersized featherweight and mostly a wrestler. Yamauchi has slick jiu-jitsu and can box.

of course its a great idea
to make pat curran look good thats all. Goiti shouldnt be fighting Pat Curran.
Pat Curran is a legit top 10 FW and has been for a number of solid years. I think it's too early for goiti
typical rich chou match making....

If it's to make Curran look good then why not give him an easy opponent? Makes no sense. How is he not ready? The guy is 18-2 in MMA and 4-1 in Bellator. If not now then when?

because bellators FW division is shallow as fuck and he's fought everyone
still
I stand by that this is not a well matched fight
but whatever ...fuck bellaturd
Goiti is a talent ...I'm just saying Curran is too much. even still if Goiti wins then people will say Curran is on the decline and over rated.

You're retarded as fuck stu, Bellator has the best FWs on the planet right now hands down whether you like the org itself or not. Though I do agree Goiti is overmatched, mostly because I personally think he's highly overrated. Curran should now remember how 3 round fights work after his match with Weichel and will be a lot more aggressive this particular fight with Yamauchi.
The match-up for Goiti is winnable though not necessarily favorable. He will really need to capitalize on Curran's mistakes.

You're retarded for saying the Bellator FW division is shallow, not because you're correct about Goiti.

Well thats cool volkov sure better wrestle and do so against big guys.
He can beat kongo but kongo could probly do what johnson did to him.

Agreed. Volkov better continue working on his grappling because Kongo will definitely go for the clinch. If Volkov can block it and takedowns then he can take it. Look at the Mark Hunt and Roy Nelson fights.
This is an interesting fight as Volkov is getting a quick turnaround but I'm guessing he wants it so he can try to get back to his winning ways.

Yeah imo in the johnson fight he was so worried about the clinch and takedown he didnt get off any strikes.
He clearly vould have tkod johnson in late round 2and 3 but instead of circling out he threw mediocre kneese and evem instigated the clinch.
He needs to stay at kickboxing range and unload ....
With kongo he can out cardio him but needs to be smart in his gameplan.

With an unfortunate injury forcing the withdrawal of Goiti Yamauchi, Emmanuel “El Matador” Sanchez (10-1) receives the call to step in against former featherweight champion Pat “Paddy Mike” Curran (20-7). With this change of opponent, and four newly announced matchups, “Bellator MMA: Kongo vs. Volkov” on June 26 is now complete with 13 total scraps to sink your teeth into.
The additional fights include heavyweight bouts between Alex Huddleston (5-1) vs. Javy Ayala (8-3) and Derek Bohi (5-4) vs. Frederick Brown (2-1) as well as featherweights Greg Scott (3-3) vs. Gaston Reyno (3-0) and lightweights Marcio Navarro (13-11) vs. Cody Carrillo (8-11).

I hope Volkov wins too. The plus side is that Kongo doesn't have the same clinching skills as Johnson who was an All-American wrestler and much stronger. Kongo didn't trim that much as he's usually around the 240 range and this fight is three rounds so I'm not sure cardio will play too much of a factor.
