The fight should have been stopped when Alessio clearly quit.

MMA isn't a sport though. And referees like to let guys get beat into a coma before they stop a fight, even once a guy has clearly quit.

Shamrock-Kimbo was a terrible fight.

Kimbo is so amateurish that Ken had his way with him.

Ken is so old that he gassed applying a choke.

Kimbo landed a couple punches, Ken is so old that he couldn't stand the heat.

I don't know how anyone could say it was a good fight. It was a ridiculous affair.

Really loved this show except the last two fights. That co-main is bullshit and just gives me another reason to despise the Unified Rules. Rickels had it won and now has a no contest because of a fucked up rule. The main event was depressing. I like Kongo but good lord, Volkov was dreadful. I'm a big Volkov fan but he should be ashamed. Sad to think that a year ago, he had a title shot and now has lost two in a row. I thought he would've learned from the Johnson loss but doesn't look it. I love the Russian fighters but these guys desperately need to learn how to wrestle if they want to make it in America. Hopefully, this experience will see Volkov wake up and focus on improving his grappling.

On the plus side, the rest of the show was great. Nice to see Kato pull off the upset with a KOTYC while Curran and Jenkins are back to their winning ways. Very happy to see Sakai and Huddleston win their fights as both have a lot of potential. Feel bad for Ayala who looked like he was on the verge of a title eliminator fight but is now back to square one.

Kato KO against Shilling was nice. Have to keep an eye out for this guy.
