Look at the numbers from the big shows they all go up compared to the smaller less produced shows lije last weeks, and the average fir 2015 is 700,000 viewers per event......

Viacom still has money to sign solid prospects and top fighters in the world....unlike some other orgs who are lucky to get castoff TUF fighters.

Kunlun pulls in millions on Chinese TV and across the world on channels such as eurosport....meanwhile bellator isnt really shown much around the world in comparison.

Kimbo vs Shamrock will do terrible. no one is interested.

By making Ken Shamrock/Kimbo the main event on one of the biggest shows of the year Bellator has shown that their targeting the low intelligence cage fighting audience.

Instead of focusing on younger talent and creating stars they are using their advertising and promotional events to hype up Ken Shamrock in 2015.

If you dislike mma stay away from Bellator. If you love cage brawling they are what your looking for.

They are focusing on young talent thats why the card has grest guys on it......the main brings eyes to the younger guys.....

Not to mention this is one of the bigger showcase shows which has better production values and promotion around it.

They have young talent on every card even headlining the smaller shows but ALL the big shows has used tge same formula and its worked extremely well so far.

Until one of these geezer fights fails we will keep getting them much like strikeforce saw itr fair share but if its literally bringing in millions of viewers,making a good profit,and putting lots of eyes on your homegrown champs,and rising prospects........its understandable as to why they use this approach.
