Sakakibara confirmed that the 16-fighter field will feature 20-year-old Erson Yamamoto, the nephew of “Kid” Norifumi Yamamoto, as well as Japanese MMA's “Cinderella Man,” 39-year-old Hideo Tokoro. Sakakibara further said that while he wants to import top international talent as well, he is focused on bringing in the best bantamweight fighters from Japan's top promotions, including Deep, Pancrase, Shooto and ZST.

Nice. Can't wait for the July event.

Yes, 185 would be real cool. Maybe those will be for next year. They are stacking up this BW GP nicely. I hope they go back to free streaming for the events though.

Yes, I think so

I hope so, the card looks stacked enough to be one of their smaller cards like Rizin 1 or Rizin 5, not one of their bigger event's like July is supposed to be.

Two fight were added to the RIZIN Bantamweight Grand Prix 2017 1st Round .

Greco-Roman world champion Amir Aliakbari (6-1) will fight NFL vet & former WSOF/Bellator fighter Tyler King (12-5)  and Teodoras Aukstuolis (10-4) will make his returns in Rizin, he will face  Swedish Karl Albrektsson (5-1).

The card has been finalized with 11 total fights for Japan’s most anticipated event this summer, with the
announcement of 2 more woman’s fights. RIZIN FIGHTING WORLD GP 2017 – Summer event, scheduled
to take place on July 30th at the Saitama Super Arena will be welcoming 8 woman fighters with the
addition of Gabi Garcia vs Oksana Gagloeva, and Shinju Auclair vs Sheena Star fights, which was
announced today.

Previously announced bouts include high profiled fights for the RIZIN GP 2017 including former UFC title
contender Kyoji Horiguchi (19-2) vs Japanese fan favorite Hideo Tokoro (34-29-2), and former UFC
standout Anthony Birchak (13-4) vs DEEP Bantamweight Champion Takafumi Otsuka (22-13-2) along
with Heavyweight standout Amir Aliakbari (6-1) vs Belator and WSOF veteran Tyler King (12-5).

Currently ranked the number one heavy weight female MMA fighter and multiple time jiu jitsu world
champion, Gabi Garcia (4-0) has been demolishing every opponent put in front of her. Garcia will be
facing a 4 time Russian National Boxing champion Oksana Gagloeva (Debut), making her MMA debut.

Gagloeva has been going back and forth between Russia and Greece, where she mostly gets her boxing
fights and experience and is most definitely the most accomplished striker Garcia has ever faced. The
Russian National champion stands 5 foot 9 inches and weighs 225lbs.

RIZIN FIGHTING FEDERATION has been putting emphasis in their woman’s division, and will be
welcoming some new talent, making their professional debuts. Shinju Auclair, originally from San
Francisco, will be making her professional debut against Sheena Star from Michigan, who will also be
making her professional debut.
