Cage Warriors 50 takes shape with Wilkinson-Johnston, Whiteford-Fishgold

The fight card is taking shape for next month's Cage Warriors 50 event.

Officials today announced a welterweight bout between "The Ultimate Fighter 12" quarterfinalist Aaron Wilkinson (10-5) and Scottish prospect Alan Johnston (6-1-1).

It joins a previously announced featherweight bout of Robert Whiteford (9-1) vs. Chris Fishgold (7-0).

Cage Warriors 50 takes place Dec. 8 at Kelvin Hall in Glasgow, Scotland. The main card streams on MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) following prelims on Facebook.

Although their opponents haven't been announced, bantamweight Paul McVeigh (18-7) and featherweight Graham Turner (20-7) also are slated for the event.

Wilkinson is on a 4-1 run since a loss to Cody McKenzie at the TUF 12 Finale. Most recently, the Brit has posted consecutive stoppage wins over Danny Wels, Martin Wilby and Leigh Cohoon. He makes his second Cage Warriors appearance when he meets Johnston, a promotional newcomer who recently had a six-fight win streak snapped with a decision loss to Sam Boult this past month.

Whiteford, meanwhile, makes his Cage Warriors debut. Fighting in his home country, he looks for his 10th straight and seventh stoppage. He meets Fishgold, an undefeated British fighter who's submitted six opponents in seven career fights.
