Fedor Emelianenko appointmented an Ambassador of the Second World Martial Arts Games 2013

Four-time world champion and seven-time Russian champion in combat sambo, Honoured Master of Sports in Sambo and world-class athlete in judo, president of the "Union of Russian MMA" Fedor Emelianenko elected Ambassador and will represent Sambo at the World Martial Arts Games in 2013.



The second in the history of World Martial Arts Games will be held in St. Petersburg from 18 to 26 October 2013. Ambassadors program is specially designed for the participation of the most prominent representatives of the martial arts in the forums and exhibitions, projects for youth. 15 Ambassadors at the time of the World Martial Arts Games are becoming combative persons involved in the sports program. 

Each ambassador living symbol of their sport that embodies and broadcasting experience. Four-time world champion and seven-time Russian champion in combat sambo, Honoured Master of Sports in Sambo and world-class athlete in judo, president of the "Union of Russian MMA" Fedor Emelianenko elected Ambassador and will represent Sambo at the World Martial Arts Games in 2013.

The participation of every ambassador in the program contributes to the development and dissemination of martial arts, their values, philosophy around the world.

At this point already selected 11 Ambassadors:

Jiu Jitsu Vincent Parisi, a multiple world and European champion.

Judo - Ezio Gamba, general manager of the Russian national team.

Karate - Tsuguo Sakumoto, multiple world champion

Kendo - Yoshimitsu Takeyasu, President of the International Federation of Kendo.

Kickboxing - Bill Wallace - undefeated world champion.

Savate - Gilles le Dizhu, European Champion and multiple international championships, the vice-president of the International Federation of Savate.

Sambo - Fedor Emelianenko, a multiple world champion and Russian Sambo, four-time world champion in mixed martial arts.

Muay Thai - Tony Jaa Ong Bak, actor, stuntman, an expert on extreme acrobatics and speedy action.

Taekwondo - Sarah Stevenson, a multiple champion of the world, Europe, the Olympic Games.

Wushu - Daria Tarasova, world champion in 2003 and 2007, the winner of the Olympic Tournament Beijing 2008.

Fencing - Karina Aznavuryan, two-time champion of the Olympic Games, World and European champion.
