Pancrase 252: Nakai vs. LaRosa, Yamamoto Out Of Super Flyweight Title Bout

Bantamweight Queen of Pancrase Rin Nakai will face her biggest challenge yet when she faces the highly regarded Tara LaRosa at Pancrase 252. LaRosa, who has captured gold in both the bantamweight and super flyweight categories, was recently announced as one of the cast members for the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rousey vs Team Tate. Her inclusion in Pancrase 252 comes as a shock as she was seen as one of the favourites to win TUF. It looks Nakai’s belt will not be on the line but her undefeated streak ( 14-0-1) certainly will be.

KRAZY BEE’s Atsushi Yamamoto has been forced out of his Super flyweight title bout against Kiyotaka Shimizu with a broken orbital bone. It is unknown whether Pancrase will look for a replacement opponent for Shimizu or postpone the bout to a later event.

LaRosa has been awful for the past few years, I just think her time has passed.

Nakai isn't exactly the most talented fighter in the world, but I think she can bully LaRosa around for a decision.
