Dare fights brings back pride rules Empty Dare fights brings back pride rules

The Thailand Sports Authority were eager to indecently fellate the dream of Muay Thai in the Olympics – a noble goal, for any fan and follower of fightsport, much less the Thailand-based folk and the Thais themselves. But how unscrupulous were its nefarious means and way, which ultimately were not justified by its ends, as after public proclamations and lengthy English language reporting (one confesses one unwittingly played one’s part) the Sports Authority’s claims circa April of 2012 that they *did not recognise the sport of Mixed Martial Arts* forced the movement to go underground… ultimately they failed, as DARE Fightsports now have the explicit approval of that said-same Sports Authority, but for over a calendar year, the movement was silenced…

This all coincided with an April 2012 WMC event in Bangkok’s Ladprao, with the Olympic Committee ringside and noises being made regarding the “suppression” of a potentially hurtful sport, this being MMA…

What now?Subversive, dissident, undesirables – DARE Fightsports and its followers were effectively > The Swing Kids < of modern Bangkok.

Much as those wunderbar Kinder in krautland only wanted to listen and dance to “subversive negro jazz” and swing in Nazi Germany, so too did the Nutt Gang wish to put on Mixed Martial Arts competition and rock through the streets of Sukhumvit like a bunch of Rebels Without A Cause, Applause, Paws Or A Whore’s Drawers… Whose Metaphors Are So Complicated They Take Six Minutes To Get Applause…

Hunted, miserable, driven from our ragged shelters… hunted like dogs, day after day… alone in a hostile world in a secret police state ran by the army and its Einsatzkommandos, ready to crush all those who commit the evils sins of running MMA shows or insulting the royals. The Thaistapo monitored emails, followed suspects and made twelve arrests during the dark and dangerous days of mid-2012.

To the Kumite we went. DARE went underground; invite only, free of charge, undisclosed location and the start of something beautiful. But a false dawn it would be.
One gloriously successful underground event later, and it seemed as though the end approachéd; The Swing Kids were forced underground yet further. DARE entered a period of inactivity; its stars were forced to go elsewhere and win world championship titles and compete in the main events of such stages as ONE FC, Legend FC, PXC, the URCC, The ABC (Easy As One-Two-Three) and yet more besides.

The fight card: DARE FIGHTSPORTS, 12/10/2013:

wasn't sure what the hell I just read then i saw the samurai-life.com at the bottom of the article and realized that it was written by that Daniel Fletcher guy.

Either way, PRIDE rules are the best rules.

I was just about to say that. This looks exactly like something Fletcher would write

Would be unreal if DARE goes to PRIDE rules with ring. After that the NBC Sports deal and partnership with WSOF should follow. Really hope that's true.
