No. 14 DeLuca mounts 3rd period comeback in upset win over No. 5 Hayes
Sat Jan 13, 2018 4:43 pm
So I'm the big wrestling nut on here of course, but this is a clip from a match that occurred last week.
DeLuca is my homey who wrestled for my same high school. So, I thought I'd give this a share.
DeLuca is a greco roman Jr Division US National Champion. Looks like all that greco training came in handy here. (This isn't the first time I've seen him do this sort of thing at the end of a match, but against an NCAA #5 from Ohio State, it was really impressive. Superb technique. On the second throw, he even used the out of bounce/stalling rule to his advantage to help set up the throw.)
149 pound division, NCAA D1 dual, between Rutgers and Ohio State.
