Rising French star Damien Lapilus (9-3-1-1nc) will take on former CWFC lightweight world title challenger Joseph Duffy (10-1) in the main event at Cage Warriors 70
.
The pair will meet in the headline bout when Cage Warriors Fighting Championship returns to The Helix in Dublin, Ireland, on Saturday, August 16, 2014.

Duffy returns to mixed martial arts in his native Ireland for the first time since October 2011, having had a successful stint as a professional boxer in the meantime, during which he accumulated a 7-0 record.

The 26-year-old, who was a contestant on the twelfth season of The Ultimate Fighter, holds submission wins over current UFC stars Norman Parke and Conor McGregor.

Thanks for posting this. Cage Warriors doesn't get enough love on this site. This is a good card for Ireland. It looks like they're going to do more regional type cards with their fighters which is a good thing.

I'm excited to see whose on the Stockholm card.

Leading European MMA promotion Cage Warriors is set to return to Dublin, Ireland next month with Cage Warriors 70.

Irish boxing veteran Joseph Duffy is set to compete in the main event, in what will be his first pro MMA bout since 2011, against Frenchman Damien Lapilus.

Duffy's current pro MMA record stands at 10-1. His last outing in MMA came at Cage Warriors 44 against Ivan Musardo in which he lost via submission. He has not won an MMA contest since July '11.

Lapilus has a record of 9-3-1 with 1 no-contest. He has not lost since November last year, earning four victories since including an arm triangle submission over Jean Francois Darmazil in his last fight.
