Great to see they will be announcing his opponent. Hope it is at the RIZIN April event and I hope it is a real solid opponent.

Damn, seems so far away. The wait will be worth it though! No bullshit oversaturated cards from RIZIN.

They had ref cam in the Fedor fight so I guess they had it in all of the fights.

Oh was there? I guess ref cams on 31st must have only been seldom used for replays then.

榊原委員長、大会後総括「次回は4月17日に名古屋・日本ガイシホールで『RIZIN.1』としてワンマッチで開催。グランプリは夏にやるか、大晦日にやるのか、別の階級でやるのか検討する」

「観衆は18,365人。2日間で27試合。試合数も多かったが、こうして3日間格闘技のイベントをぶっ続けでやったのは初だったので、いい経験ができたと思う。試合内容以外にも満足のいく大会だった。格闘技EXPOも、定着させていけたらファンやアマチュアの競技者など、格闘技というコンテンツをキーにしていろんなつながりが示せるのではないか。

次回のRIZINは4月17日に名古屋・日本ガイシホールで『RIZIN.1』として開催される。トーナメントではなくワンマッチの大会になる。マッチメイクとしては、今後もいろんな団体のトップを招聘したい。グランプリは確実には決めていなくて、夏にやるか、来年の大晦日にやるのか、別の階級でや...るのか、その辺を今後考えていきたい。

トーナメントは93年に見たK-1グランプリの匂いを感じた。ニューカマーが出てきて、それでも実績を積んだ選手がきっちり最後を締める、理想的な結末だと思う。プロハースカもまた見てみたし、そういう選手たちには、年間を通して何度か開催する大会でチャンスをあげたい。ほかにも見ごたえのある試合が多かった。競技性、ゲーム性を担保してくれる選手を集めることができれば、トーナメントには面白さがあると思った。

（ロッカールームボーナスを上げたい選手は？）アーセン。五輪後も総合格闘技をやってほしい。僅か2カ月で初の総合に臨み、最高のスピリットを見せてくれた。総合の美しさを感じる試合だった。

ピーターは、あれだけ思いのある試合をみせてくれた。タップせず我慢して耐え抜いて3ラウンドまで。ショートノーティスで出てきてくれて、あれだけの試合を見せてくれることには本当に頭が下がる。バンナは諦めが早いから、今となってはアーツで良かったと思う。

（バンナがIGF両国国技館大会に来場したが？）びっくりした。（バンナは）正式な契約書にサインをしている。リアルファイトの総合格闘技の契約書にサインをしている。プロとしていかがなものかと思うので、約束を守れなかったことに関して、ルールというか契約が守れない人なので、訴訟することになります。

（女子の試合について）新時代を感じてもらうために、RENAの試合を第一試合に組んだ。紅白のトップバッターの意味合いも含め、新しい舞台の第一歩を託すという思いで。アンダーカードで組んだのではないと本人にも伝えた。それに結果で応えてくれるプロフェッショナルで素晴らしかった。飛びつき腕十字は狙っていたと言っていた。

ギャビは予想通りの試合。彼女はむちゃくちゃ練習するけど、自分を追い込みすぎてバランスが取れなくなる。体調も良くなかったし、もっと柔術ベースで戦えば……。ギャビもタパも大舞台とMMAという新たなチャレンジの重圧で相手の顔しか見えていなかった。それでも二人の必死さが伝わるいい試合だった。

（サップvs曙は）完全決着をつけさせてあげたかった。（曙陣営が判定に不服があると？）レフェリングについてはシュートボクシングに任せている。イエローカードの後も後頭部にあたったという主張があるので、シュートボクシングの競技本部とビデオを見て競技部門として正式に何らかの発表をする。曙もできれば再戦したいという思いを持っていたし、それもないことではない。彼がしっかり準備して、覚悟を決めてきた様子は見られたと思う。常に前に出る気持ちでいたし、彼の中ではシュートボクシングのルールであれば自分の戦術にはまりそうだと思っていたことが見受けられた。

（31日の演出について）PRIDEでやっていたような、ステージがあって、後ろにLEDを出して音楽にあわせて名前が出たりというのは、いろんな団体が後から取り入れて格闘技のスタンダードになっていた。今回はステージを捨てることによって、選手たちが戦う場所、リングによりスポットライトがあたる演出にした。リング上のライトも動くし、ライトを吊っているトラスも動くようにした。あとは音響が圧倒的によくなっている。低音が響き、クラブシーンでよく使われているテンポのいい曲を採用して方向性を変えてみたりとか。非日常にいざなうという意味で、今回は照明と音響にこだわった。ロープの中のLEDは、曙やサップの重量級がロープにぶつかっても耐えられるかどうか実験した。世界初の試みです」

I hope they are here to stick around as well.  It sounds like the Japanese were happy with this event from what I've read.  Hope it was a success.  Seems like it since their August show was already moved up to April and they are already looking to get Fedor a fight in April.

I'm hearing it did really well for fuji tv ratings wise too!!

^Yeah, I'm hearing 10 million viewers and doubling and trippling percent of viewers of last couple years.

That's probably one main reason why August 1st show is now in April.  I think Fuji and Rizin are real happy with their rating numbers.

Great to hear both the show coming early and Fedor getting another fight.

If RIZIN can get Wand for this event, they should try to set him against the winner of the M-1 MW GP if possible. M-1 and ONE FC are the only two major orgs. which need to join onto the Federation.

I wonder if RIZIN asked ONE FC to join the federation but ONE said no because they see RIZIN as a competitor. ONE always markets themselves as the biggest promotion in Asia and probably wouldn't want to lend their fighters to RIZIN.

I was wondering the same. That could be the issue.

When DREAM was around ONE worked with them, even when they came back for a year. They worked with other orgs as well so I am still hoping they decide to work with RIZIN so we can see Askren, Bibi, Bigdash,..., there. Seems like Aoki's contract gives him freedom to fight where he chooses without permission from ONE possibly.

I don't think ONE is a direct competitor since they've carved out a nice scene in SE Asia with a little bit of work in the Chinese market. The big thing is their fighters that RIZIN would want. Probably Aoki and Bibiano. Then it's the same problem as KSW where the will share some fighters, but not their big name champions
