The interesting thing to me was they kept saying how it was at HW. I hope they are doing Fedor/Mitrione and Rampage/King Mo as part of a HW eliminator for the belt. Have the winner of each fight fight for the belt, the losers can fight each other as well for a future contender. Plus you have guys like Kongo, Lashley, Kharitonov, and whatever that one guys name is that beat Kharitonov.
That isn't a bad HW division and gives you plenty of name power for future fights. Plus you will get to see Fedor vs Rampage or King Mo in either scenario, which would be big fights.

That's a good idea. I hope they are thinking along these lines.

If he stayed in Bellator, Jackson said he wouldn’t even know the next logical fight. He said he was supposed to fight Cro Cop on March 30, not Lawal, but Cro Cop retired earlier this month. “Rampage” said he’d love to go to Japan and fight for Rizin.

^That would have been a good one. Throwing unknown guys to Kharitonov does nothing for him if he wins and hurts his cred if he loses. I like several of Bellator's HWs and think they have some guys to really do something with, they just never make any match ups I care about. I want to get behind their HW division but they just keep making the worst match ups possible.

I agree Kinosis, these fights for Kharitonov don't make much sense to me. Same with the Lashley fights and MVP fights.

Marcos Galvao (18-7) is moving up to featherweight and will meet Emmanuel Sanchez (14-3) at Bellator 175

Kharitonov got ktfo by a rising prospect in ayala ,he is a decent name value guy but he needs to get a win or two in Bellator to get up rankings. He's fighting former Titan fc hw champ and ufc vet if sergei can beat him it will help alot.
Kharitonov isnt a huge name in usa before coming to bellator he beat some decent hws and was given a good debut against a young rising fighter and he got starched.....hope he wins fri.
Lashley works his fights around his wrestling taping making matchmaking a nitemare i expect him to get a big fight soon tho.Hes done multiple intervews saying he wants bug fights.
Mvp has been stepping up in competition that argument is old......he fought Gonzalez who was a legit ranked guy and on a legit win streak even tho the fight was lackluster. Now he fighting derek anderson who is a tough style match and a great fighter.

People here have to realize that Kharitonov is great but Bellator is also trying to book for casual fans and casual fans likely don't know who he is. Remember, his big run was in PRIDE, Japan, and Russia which was around a decade ago. He's fought in America rarely including PRIDE 33, his two Strikeforce appearances, and his Bellator debut.

MVP has stepped up comp, I agree but I still prefer to see the Sergei/Lashley fight. It would be a cool and meaningful fight for both guys.

In first fight Rampage got taken down stupid in first round, won second and was tired in 3th (which he lost imo).
In this fight he will not get taken so easy(not saying he will not get taken down at all) and he seems in great shape so he will not get tired like in 1st fight in 3th round. So I think Rampage wins.

Without rampage having to cut weight i doubt hes in very good shape he looked slow in his last hw fight.
I think mo will beat him decisively.

Dang, Rampage really did go to heavyweight. I was expecting 230 lbs or so.

Yeah he can't even make lhw from what he says because of a thyroid issue.....
I knew him not cutting weight would make him come in heavy......he better go hard first round cuz cardio won't be there.
On one hand he may be harder to takedown but mo will be quicker and better cardio should be an interesting fight.
