It is a pity they don't speak out now as for the ufc fans they will latch onto whatever organization takes over. They would be like rats to a sinking ship. I agree im sick of that "you have to be in the ufc to prove yourself to me" attitude .

Completely agree. At this point, why should we care? The UFC has not only been in decline but they haven't been able to promote new stars and this is what happens when all you care about a small group of fighters like Rousey & McGregor.

Also, look at UFC shows. What's there to look forward to? The format is the worst and they just come off outdated. Other than it's called "UFC", why should we care about it when we have Bellator, ONE Championship, Rizin, and many others? Speaking of those promotions, the UFC also relied on getting most of their best talent by buying other companies. However, they haven't been able to do that in years. Not to mention that fighters are more likely to leave UFC than go there.

Think about it the only thing they have is the brand name that is all they have.

Pride
Grand prix's kick ass theme respectful crowds the bushido spirt.

2 wec established the lighter weight divisions made them popular in North America

3 strikeforce made women's mma popular.

These three had something which people loved not to mention the ufc champions who came from these organizations I forgot they signed that magic ufc contract and automatically got better.

The ufc

1 the name
2 buying out rival promotions
3 smear campaign against current promotions.

Yes. Especially the last one. Where would the UFC be if they couldn't buy out their competition?

PRIDE- Big Nog, Wanderlei, Shogun, Henderson, Werdum, and Hunt

WEC- Condit, Bendo, Cerrone, Pettis, the Featherweight & Bantamweight Division

WFA- Machida & Rampage

Strikeforce- Werdum, Overeem, Barnett, Cormier, Woodley, Romero, Jacare, Rockhold, Mousasi, Melendez, Diaz, Thomson, OSP, and the Women's Bantamweight Division

Also, you bring up PRIDE's fans and the bushido spirit and look at UFC with it's bare bones production, trashy Face the Pain theme, and the zombies.

What's sad is even then, it's still not enough. Look at the way Dana seems to treat GSP. Look at how some fans think Demetrious Johnson is a coward because he thinks TJ Dillashaw should earn a title shot instead of talking his way into one. Even after everything Johnson has achieved, the zombies will still say he's scared. With friends like these, who needs enemies and why would anyone want to fight for these fans or Dana given their behavior?

Sounds like he may not be able to make the weight anymore since this is the second time. He is 41 so it's not getting easier. Apparently, he too had a nasty weight cut like Till.

Which makes me wonder

1 more divisions
2 less divisions
3 make them fight at their natural weight

In my opinion if you're cutting weight to the point of looking like a skeleton you should move up a division

Absolutely not on more divisions. We have enough as it is. We don't need it to be boxing where there's a weight division every five pounds. Not to mention, there's no depth for ten-fifteen weight classes. A lot of these fighters probably try to drop down to smaller weight classes cause they want to be bigger.

Plenty of legends have done well in divisions they were considered "too small" for. Most of the Heavyweight legends, Sakuraba, Hendo, & Machida at Light Heavyweight, BJ at Welterweight, Kid & Edgar at Lightweight, Urijah at Featherweight, and DJ at Bantamweight.

Romero is a brick shit house so he shouldn't have a problem at Light Heavyweight.

Agree on the skeleton part. I still remember how disgusting Kenny Florian looked at Featherweight.

I agree I don't want more weight classes either it won't make a difference people will still try and gain an advantage in size to their opponent romero should go up in weight as many others should

There are already too many weight divisions. The talent is spread to thin. I would rather see 20 lbs increments like between MW and LHW starting at LW and going to LHW and then HW at 265.

SW - 125
FW - 145
LW - 165
MW - 185
LHW - 205
HW - 265

I agree think about it the whole missing weight didn't start until they added more divisions main reason they fought at their natural weight. ^^ i would love if mma organizations followed that route. Hell i hope Rizin follows the pride model of divisions
1 hw 265
2 mw 205
3 ww 185
4 lw 165
5 fw 145
6 bw 125

Basically the same just a few name changes and yes I'm repeating myself but that's how I would do It. That and a Bellator rizin partnership would be great let's be real the only people who say it wont "work" are the ones who don't want it to work.

They don't because it could be a huge success and could bigger than the ufc. Really what does the ufc have? The brand name the fact that the only way the fighters have to talk shit to gain attention ....That is why organizations like pride and rizin ff are were legit is because the fighters didn't need to talk shit to gain a following.

That was pathetic of them if the ufc is always the biggest and the best from day one as they seem to think then why do they need to talk shit about other organizations what are they so scared of? In people view how big can Bellator and rizin grow to be? Obviously I hope they grow into the two biggest promotions and have a partnership.

Well it's obvious what they're scared of. What's UFC got that's so special? They know UFC has nothing special other than the name. Trash theme, bare bones look, & shows that go longer than they need to.

I think we can see promotions rise because the UFC has gotten weaker over the years. They're no where near as they once were when they appeared indestructable. Now, they're PPV buyrates suck, they're over saturated, and they're ratings aren't great. They've clearly lost the grip they used to have.
