Bellator 59 ratings: Number holds steady, event draws 265,000 viewers

Ratings for Bellator Fighting Championships' final season-five event held steady from the previous week as Bellator 59 drew 265,000 viewers to MTV2.
The number marks the third-highest ratings figure of Bellator's fifth season
(www.mmajunkie.com) today confirmed the ratings information with an industry source, who also said an immediate replay of the fight card drew 136,000 viewers.
Bellator 59 took place Nov. 26 at Ceasars Atlantic City in Atlantic City, N.J. The main card aired on MTV2, and the prelims streamed on Spike.com.
The night's featured an odd ending to its main event, as Eric Prindle and Thiago Santos' heavyweight tournament finale was declared a no contest following a Santos kick to the groin that was not declared a foul.
The main card also saw Patricky "Pitbull" Freire down Kurt Pellegrino in a non-title affair and Eduardo Dantas claim the company's bantamweight tournament title over Alexis Vila.
In additional Bellator ratings news, an encore airing of Bellator 58's Michael Chandler vs. Eddie Alvarez bout also drew 237,000 viewers.

and in that time, the UFC ratings have declined.

I find it interesting that Bellator 58 got good ratings even thogh there was a ufc event on ppv.

Bellator will only go uphill once they are officially on SPIKE. Things are looking promising OUTSIDE of the UFC.

^^^So most Bellator events that were on the same night as ufc ppvs got low ratings. And those ufc events had prelims on spike as did ufc 139 which was on the same night as bellator 58.
- Bellator 63 ratings: Event draws 140,000 MTV2 viewers, close to season average
- M-1 Challenge 30 ratings: Event draws series-low 148,000 Showtime viewers
- Bellator 60 ratings: Season-six opener draws 169,000 MTV2 viewers
- Bellator 78 ratings: Ratings improve slightly over previous week, event scores 154,000 viewers
- Bellator 64 ratings: Event scores season-best 175,000 MTV2 viewers
