Jay Hieron: Jay Hieron finished Romario Manoel da Silva with a brabo choke in 2 minutes 4 seconds of the second round at Legacy Fighting Championship 12 on 13 July 2012. Hieron remained in the top 5 of the welterweight division following the victory.

Wilson Reis: Wilson Reis returned to the cage at Matrix Fights 6 on 13 July 2012 earning a unanimous decision victory over Cody Stevens. Reis remains ranked in the other contenders list of the featherweight rankings but he needs a step up in competition to hold this ranking.

Vinny Magalhaes: Vinny Magalhaes was removed from the light heavyweight rankings after signing an exclusive contract with the UFC as reported on 16 July 2012 after a long reported dispute with former promoter M-1 Global. Bellator contender Roger Hollett entered the GLOBAL-MMA light heavyweight rankings due to the removal of Vinny Magalhaes.

Marius Zaromskis: The last DREAM welterweight champion and GLOBAL-MMA welterweight contender, Marius Zaromskis, was back in action at Bellator 72 on 20 July 2012 to complete a trilogy against rival Waachiim Spiritwolf. Zaromskis remains on the other contenders list of the rankings as he enters into the Bellator welterweight tournament starting this fall.

Travis Wiuff: Number 2 ranked light heavyweight, Travis Wiuff, continued his dominant streak in the Bellator cage earning a unanimous decision victory over Tim Carpenter at Bellator 72 to move on to the finals of the Bellator Summer Series Light Heavyweight Tournament. Wiuff maintained his spot in the GLOBAL-MMA rankings following the victory.

Attila Vegh: Attila Vegh moved to the number 6 spot in the GLOBAL-MMA light heavyweight rankings following a split decision victory over Emanuel Newton at Bellator 72. The victory earned Vegh a spot in the Bellator Summer Series Light Heavyweight Tournament against GLOBAL-MMA number 2 ranked Travis Wiuff. The tournament final will determine who gets a shot at Bellator champion Christian M’Pumbu.

Paul Daley: Paul Daley moved up one spot, to number 6, in the welterweight rankings following an impressive TKO victory over Rudy Bears at Bellator 72. Daley will enter the upcoming Bellator welterweight tournament this fall.

Karl “Psycho” Amoussou: Karl “Psycho” Amoussou entered the top 10 of the welterweight rankings after finishing Bryan Baker with an incredible inverted heel hook submission in just 56 seconds of the first round at Bellator 72. Thanks Johan.

Yeah, Psycho is a beast. That heal hook was prob. top sub. of the year. I hope he can take out Askren but that will be a tough test.

I updated Miranda as the M-1 champ in the OP. Is White Wolf ever going to return? He hasn't fought in 1-1/2 years and now M-1 stripped him of his title. If he doesn't fight in the next 7 months he will be removed from the rankings.

Wagnney Fabiano is another fighter who hasn't fought in a long time. In 3 months it will be 2 years since he fought and he will be removed as well. He was suppose to fight for Bellator in the BW tournament but he got injured. That was the last I heard of him.

Thanks Willie.

Great point on Santiago. Guseinov did look terrible vs. Miranda. I expected a lot more out of him in that fight. I will have to remember to bump Santiago above him if he wins his next fight. If Guseinov loses his next fight he will take a huge hit.

I was just reading Valavicius' Sherdog stats. Pretty impressive. I will have to keep my eye out on him. I added him to a list I keep on PC at 205 for fighters to watch out for. Hopefully he signs to ONE, Bellator, M-1, KSW, or Sengoku Global.

I appreciate the comments. Thanks.

Yeah, I just read that. It sucks we lost Hieron. He was a solid WW in our rankings. I'm thinking of bringing Yuya Shirai back to the rankings at 170. I had him in the top 10 until his loss at ONE FC. He is the DEEP champ and a solid fighter. Gael Grimaud is also a good choice but I think the edge should probably go to Yuya.

Maybe we should do a poll on this one.

Excellent suggestions. I added Petras Markevicius to my list.

Flawless MMA and Sengoku Global are sounding pretty impressive. Looking forward to seeing their shows.

Since Santiago is history, who do you think would be a better replacement, Markevicius who holds a win over Mousasi or Ryuta Sakurai who holds a win over DEEP LHW champ and top 5 G-MMA LHW Nakanishi?

Yeah, I am aware of Kudin. I believe he was one of Bloody Elbows top HW prospects at one time. It would be sweet to see him in Sengoku.

Yeah, I just compared their records again and he has the better overall and recent records and he has a past win over Mousasi. He'll be in there next month unless another non-ranked MW takes out one of our ranked fighters.

Thanks for pointing him out to me. Looking forward to seeing his fight in Flawless FC.

Since we have Zach Makovsky at number 3 and Dantas just destroyed him I am thinking Nam moves to 2 while Dantas slips to 3 ahead of Makovsky. It is almost like Nam is the new uncrowned Bellator BW champ, especially after that impressive 1 minute 40 second KO. He put Dantas out cold.

I hope Bellator is smart enough to bring in Nam for an immediate rematch for the Bellator title like you suggested in the other thread.
