Global-MMA Ranking Rules

*This ranking system includes fighters that are not under exclusive contract to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

*Top level fighters that leave the UFC may be ranked in subsequent rankings.

*Fighters that sign exclusively to the UFC will be removed from the rankings.

*Rankings are based on a fighter's overall career results and recent performance.

*A fighter will be ranked number one if he defeats the number one ranked fighter in the weight division except under certain rare circumstances where the number two ranked fighter clearly deserves to move into the number one ranking position.

*Victories over highly ranked fighters and losses against non-ranked opponents have a larger effect on the fighters ranking position.

*A fighter will not necessarily take the place of his opponent in the rankings after a victory or a loss.

* A fighter can move up a maximum of three spots with impressive victories over a fighter ranked below him; however, there is no limit if the fighter earned a title or a tournament championship with the victory.

* An unranked newly crowned champion who earned a title in a major league MMA promotion can enter the top ten even with a victory over an unranked fighter.

*A fighter will drop in the rankings if he does not fight regularly against high level competition.

*A top ten ranked fighter can become ranked in another weight division after one or more wins in his new weight class.

*A fighter can be ranked in two different weight divisions.

*Champions and fighters from prominent promotions will have an advantage over champions and fighters from promotions with lesser competition.

*A fighter will be removed from the rankings if he does not fight for two years.

*Fighters that are signed to multiple promotions will have their promotions listed based on the following criteria: 1) championship held in a promotion, 2) predominant promotion the fighter fights in, 3) promotion
last fought in.

*Rankings will be updated every month.

Good work on these, there's a few guys I think are ranked a bit too high.

Caol Uno is a legend and should be held in high regard, but I don't think he should be ranked in the top 10. I think he gets beat by everyone on that list. Even though hes coming off a loss, it seems people have forgotten about Shamhalaev. Also, after his win over Mike Richman, Des Green should be in the mix.

Also, Kenny Garner is a beast, but hes coming off two losses, including a loss to a complete journeyman. Everyone below him is coming off good win streaks. If Konstantin Erokhin beats Brett Rogers later this month, I'd hope he'd be considered for this list next month.

Michael Page is a hell of a prospect. But until he actually beats someone, i'd put veteran guys like Gerald Harris, Lyman Good, and Ben Saunders ahead of him. Don't sleep on the Cage Warriors guys like Nicolas Dalby and Gael Grimaud either.

He should definitely be ahead. He has more wins and better ones. Plus he's the champion of a org with the better fighters in the weight class. He has wins against 2 guys on the top ten

Thanks man.

Uno moved up after his sub win over Romero who was top 10 at the time. Shamhalaev was ranked before but he got passed up by others. Des Green is one to look out for. That was a nice win.

Yeah, I've been wanting to get Erokhin in here. If he beats Rogers, he deserves a spot.

Those are some good options at WW. Grimaud was ranked at one time. Page will be getting passed up soon if he doesn't get a big win as you suggest.

Thanks for the comments.

Dantas just faced and will continue to face better competition according to the G-MMA rankings. Dantas#3 beat Leone#15 and has bouts with Warren#4 and Rafael Silva#12 lined up. Moraes simply isn't fighting the higher competition currently according to our rankings.

Moraes and Dantas are pretty equal. There common opponent is Tyson Nam and Moraes took him out and Dantas was KO'd by him.

That's cool MMA math but that doesn't discount anything I stated in my previous post. According to the G-MMA rankings Dantas is the better fighter right now.

That was impressive, I agree.  He will move up to 2.

So if moraes ko's rettinghouse this march 29 and wins the title Dantas jumps him? How? Don't like it cd

Anthony leone was a 13-7 late replacement is not like dudu beat the world champ!

Moraes is going against rettinghouse 10-2 young stud who dominated Alexis Vila in his last fight

I think if Dantas takes the 2 spot and then if Moraes has an impressive win he can get it back.  They might also pass up Bibi here soon.

Rettinghouse isn't ranked in the G-MMA top 15 so why should Moraes get such a boost if he wins?

Dantas beat #7 Gavlao, #9 Nog, Contender Leone and Villa. Putting him at 3 makes no sense. Wille is bias as fuck because of WSOF

I also Think JT should be in the top ten. Dude has some good wins and his L are to good fighters as well

1.  Alexander Shlemenko (Bellator Champion)
2.  Mamed Khalidov (KSW)
3.  Yushin Okami (WSOF)
4.  Maiquel Falcao (Oplot)
5.  Ramazan Emeev (M-1 Global Champion)
6.  Vyacheslav Vasilevsky (M-1 Global)
7.  Michal Materla (KSW Champion)
8.  JT
9.  Doug Marshall (Bellator)
10. Sam Alvery

would be my top ten.  Ronys Torres would be beat everyone from #6 and down at LW

Even with the win over Nam, I can't seriously say that Moraes is fighting against higher level opposition.
