Bellator 198: Fedor vs. Mir - April 28 (OFFICIAL DISCUSSION) - Page 2 Empty Re: Bellator 198: Fedor vs. Mir - April 28 (OFFICIAL DISCUSSION)

^^ yet they say fedor was only 33 that is prime years for a heavy weight i guess getting old only applies to ufc fighters fedor had 33 fights in a 10 year period then add the combat Sambo matches while doing mma which could have been 4 to 6 on top of his mma bouts of course that would be me "making up an excuse" as they would say.

They have always hated on him even during the pride days then again they hate on any fighter that doesn't sign with the ufc which is ironic since Dana white was so desperate to sign him.

It is always the same song and dance "fedors a can crusher" "pride was fake".

I would love for fedor to win the entire GP and retire that would be a great way to cap his career. Or with mirko signing with Bellator  with Rizin doing a heavy weight GP I think it would be great if he won that and fedor won the Bellator gp champion VS champion you can't say that wouldn't sell.

Fedor vs Cro Cop 2 both as GP winners would be great to end both their careers.

^^it would be a big ppv for Bellator or a huge crowd in Japan and people would pay to see it even the "uh they're past their prime crowd" or the  "is this 2005 crowd?" "they're old crowd"

I'm always under the belief that if you're capable of doing it you're age should be irrelevant majority are probably 10.12 year old kids who think 30 40 is old and if not then that's just sad.

Yeah, it would be huge. Japan/Rizin would be the best place to see it.

^^ I agree it would be it would add more to their legacy even though their legacy is set.
Fedor
Rings absolute championship
Rings open weight championship
Pride fc heavyweight championship 3 defences
2004 pride fc heavyweight grand prix championship
Wamma heavyweight championship 2 def
Bellator heavyweight grand prix championship.
Mirko
2006 pride open weight championship
Rizin ff open weight championship
Rizin ff heavy weight GP championship
Igf open weight championship 1 defence
Man wouldn't that be great?

It is amazing fedor is the most accomplished heavyweight in mma history and mirko has won as many belts as any other heavyweight.

Don't forget other elite fighters like Cabbage Correira, Tank Abbott, Brandon Lee Hinkle or Sean Gannon or James Irvin. Then again, same people who thought Shane Carwin was someone Fedor needed to face despite Carwin only having two good wins and an interim belt.

^^ of course their excuse would be Carwins 2 best wins would beat all of emelianenko wins ^^ Fedor still a can crusher ironic how they can't name them all. Did fedor fights cans? Yes he did I'm not going to deny it who cares which mma fighter didn't fight a can?. Another one is the whole Wanderlei silva won 22 in pride but couldn't win 2 over here? 2 can play that game
1 how is it that randy couture became a 9x ufc champion but could not win a rings tournament and went 3.3?
2 how is it that Chuck liddell was 5x ufc champion but could not win a "b level" pride tournament? And ironically lost the belt to the same man whom beat him in that tournament
3 how is it that Anderson silva was a mid level guy in pride to all of a sudden within probably not even 2 years of losing to Chonan becomes ufc champion
The answers
.
1 it was fixed
2 rampage had chucks number oh and it was fixed. Of course admitting one would the other was fixed as well since rampage beat chuck twice.
3 it was fixed.

My prediction
1 if fedor wins
1 frank Mir is past his prime
2 frank Mir was never that good.
If frank Mir wins
1 this proves the ufc was always a higher level then pride
2 it shows fedor was a can crusher scared of the Justin eilers and cabbage corrieas of the world.

We all know one of these predictions will come true me I certainly hope it is not the latter.

I admit with fedor I get nervous these days because it's seems to be um and ah with him 2004 fedor would run through it all. I will add this people on sherdog go on about how heavyweight are more evolved now I agree the lighter division are more evolved I don't think the heavyweight division today is any more evolved then those of yester year. Example name the heavyweight version of mighty mouse or Jon Jones or gsp?

Watching the count down fedor looks like he is training like a mad man and one of his students is vadim nemkov who I think will be a future mma world champion though with him I would like to see do a few more fights before having a title shot. I rather that then rushing him.

Nemkov definitely has potential. With Bader in the Grand Prix, the Light Heavyweight Title isn't being defended right now so I don't think they'll rush him. Plus side is he already has a track record defeating Lins who was a talented prospect and is coming off his biggest win yet over Liam McGeary. At this point, they don't have an obvious number one contender so hopefully they can build the division up when Bader gets back.

^^ they can build the division while Bader is in the gp I still think nemkov should have a few more bouts though the guy is 9-2 I would at least like to see how he goes against Phil Davis.

Like I said if vadim becomes champion it proves that a prime fedor could have easily won the ufc belt back in the day. Even though pride had the best heavyweight division yeah I know try and tell them that pretty much fingers in the ears and LA LA LA LA.

I thought I post this just go on the comments and see the pathetic trolling and retarded comments they do,they really should come up with some new material.

On a serious note I hate the fact that mma has these kinds of "fans". I still maintain pride was around for 10 years yet none of them stepped into the ring and put their pride was fake ref ear piece to the test. I wonder if rizin gave them that chance I wonder how many of them would do it?
