I've heard rumors of another Sato/Uno bout and Hironaka/Chiquerim as well.
K-Taro is another possibility and you have to think you'll see Ogikubo and Yamagami too.
Would be nice to see a few more big names to grace the card like last time, but it'll be difficult with the impending D.18 event.

Hironaka/Chiquerim sound good. I think Hironaka edge him out.

Nice start. Hopefully there will be some to see this event either live or soon after it airs.

Does anyone know if they plan on streaming this live anywhere? Very solid card. Would hate to miss it. If not streamed, hopefully it is available real soon after.

I don´t understand why it´s so hard to film and stream events? Even SFL does it.. every week.. for free.IQ Wrestler wrote:That's not gonna happen unfortunately

Japan is still a live event country. They think anything like a stream would hurt ticket sales, and they rarely think about fans outside of japan.

I will contact them about this. I´m 100% sure streams and exposure could be good for them.retrocausality wrote:Lofgren wrote:I don´t understand why it´s so hard to film and stream events? Even SFL does it.. every week.. for free.IQ Wrestler wrote:That's not gonna happen unfortunately

Me too. But they can be very slow to change. Krush streams sometimes on nicovideo.jp and NJPW has a IPPV on Ustream. Other than that, I dont know any other Japanese promotions that embraced streaming outside of japan.

Hit the nail on the head. Its a completely risky proposition. Who knows how many foreigners will actually consistently watch these streams and if its enough to even be profitable. Its not like these guys make a whole lot from live crowds when they're always running in Korakuen Hall and Differ Ariake. Plus the split they get from Samurai TV subscriptions can't be too much either.

I'd assume it'd be pay from prior experiences with nicovideo streams.

found it here too http://live.nicovideo.jp/gate/lv118852024
nicovideo is weird, I think you can watch for free but then if it hits a numebr of viewers free viewers are kicked out and then you need a premium account. I think US citizens can buy those.

Yep that's how it works.
On the topic of why company's don't stream. It's a lot like the video game industry, we see less and less jrpgs being exported to the west because developers don't think anyone in the west will buy them.
JMMA is the same I think. NJPW would've NEVER got ippv if a Japanese guy named Enuhito didn't rally for fans to relentlessly mass twitter bomb the NJPW Pres to show how high the demand is.

Doesnt NJPW only get 800 buys outside of japan anyways? Not a big money maker sadly. Best bet for anyone outside of japan is to buy the fight network stream and wait for the event to be aired 6 weeks later. If only RUDOS didnt die.

800x $25 is $20,000 more than they made before ippv and that's just ustream. Their nico nico stream had 52,000 viewers.
It costs them almost nothing to do it, pure profit.
Jan 4 will get well over 1k buyers, I bet
