Yeah, overall achievement is very important. I agree. If he wins his next fight, even against a lesser opponent, and he will be listed in the Other Contenders. If he defeats a ranked fighter he will be in the top 10.Kinosis wrote:Don't get me wrong, I know where you are coming from. Being 2-4 in his last 6 isn't great but it was all to highly ranked guys (besides Rogers). I tend to count overall achievement much higher than most people I think. To me, once you have done a lot in the sport it takes a lot to knock you down. I'm not up in arms or anything and have no problem with him having another fight or two to work his way back to the top 10 (or one really good win).

OK, one more win and he is in other contenders list or if one of the contenders loses he moves in. One win against a ranked fighter and he is top ten. Does that work?Johan Lofgren wrote:Arlovski should probably be among the contenders.

Sounds good. I´m excited to see the progress of these rankings. Especially now that the mma world has recovered after the Zuffa SF buyout. I will try to get in touch with WAMMA so they can get back in business using our rankings.CDF47 wrote:OK, one more win and he is in other contenders list or if one of the contenders loses he moves in. Yup, same here. Yeah, I actually started doing these weeks before the SF purchase and after that it seemed like Zuffa had everyone. Then in November things started looking good with Bellator and M-1,..., as far as solid rosters so I recreated the rankings.
Hell yeah, we need to revive the WAMMA type concept but more realistic based on a separation of Zuffa from GLOBAL-MMA.

I don't think so. LW is a solid division. That would put him above Freire, Hirota, Kikuno, and Kitaoka. He's not quite there yet but I guess you're not being serious anyway.
1. Shinya Aoki (DREAM Champion)
2. Michael Chandler (Bellator Champion)
3. Eddie Alvarez (Bellator)
4. Daniel Weichel (M-1 Global Champion)
5. Patricky Freire (Bellator)
6. Antonio McKee (Free Agent)
7. Mizuto Hirota (DEEP Champion)
8. Katsunori Kikuno (DREAM)
9. Satoru Kitaoka (DREAM)
10. Alexander Sarnavskiy (M-1 Global)

Just as an example of Kitaoka...simple MMATH
He did lose Mizuto Hirota who did lose Yokota which did lose to Jadamba in round 1 (02:00) through KO
Not forget that Jadamba also did beat the cantonese Gono who is pretty pretty solid.
K-1 level striking + Mongolian wrestling= epic win

He is the Legend champ and has decent wins over Yokota and Gono and Pang which makes him about top 12 as he is listed with a 7-2 record.
Jadamba is solid but not quite top 10 yet. Very close though.

Yeah, Materla is awesome at KSW. I have him close to the contenders, as well as champ Kulak. Yakovlev and Hawn are also right up there. I have Marcus Vanttinen ahead of Sobral so Sobral is about 15 or 16.

Artiom Damkovsky looked fantastic in his last two fights and I think he´s a future LW contender.

Absolutely. That slam KO was impressive as hell. Then he followed that up with an excellent first round KO of former champ Figueroa. He is definitely a solid contender.
